With 26. Yeah, yeah sad record but it says something that he's broken a record that's stood since the 80s (held by Fran Curci till yesterday).

A lot of people clowned that hire, but he has outlasted a lot of coaches and has done away with the Kentucky doormat stigma

Did yo hear the announcers butcher Cursi's name? Corsey or Coosey, something wrong. Way to do your prep work, fellas

Those announcers were trash across the board.

As for OP, I genuinely don't know how much longer we hang on to him at this point.

Fran won a share of the SEC in 1976 and if not for probation again in 1977. That year we beat Penn State, UGA, and LSU on the road.

I think we can provide the cash and the facilities (the upgrades have been huge the last few years). But I fully expect a bigger, traditional football program to come calling sooner rather than later. And like us in basketball, there's just some programs that are a destination job.

I mean we've already had to fight off Michigan in multiple years trying to scalp our assistants. They finally managed to get one but we hung on to Morrow because of his relationship with Stoops.

I guess he and Bob both own all time wins at a program. That's pretty cool.

I think we can out bid Florida State for him, if they come after him. They owe alot of people alot of money, plus I think they irritated him last go around when he interviewed and they were interested in a bigger name

Fortunately his win % being just above .500 might keep some away and there's just a few jobs I think he'd eave for. UK has given him pretty much everything he's wanted facility wise and salary wise

Nobody but Kentucky would give him this long to build a program. The teams that he would consider would look at his overall record and say no. Plus he would be a fool to go to that type of situation. He is writing his own story at Kentucky.

Stoops is in a weird spot. He’s coaching a team that struggled historically. He has done very well, however there is still a ceiling at Kentucky. This makes his overall record seem less impressive to the average spectator that doesn’t know the difficulty of the job. It will be interesting to see if a huge program is able to get their fans behind hiring him

Yeah, I think part of that interview with FSU he saw the impending shitshow and they were fishing for someone much bigger and he backed out. I don't know that he'd want to get into a rebuild there.

I worry that the SEC grind will eventually get tiresome and he'd potentially head back to the ACC for the right job. Or Big 10 since he's from that area. It don't think he'd settle for anything more than a move up though at this point so I don't think a lower end team in any of those conferences will do it.

They beat Georgia and LSU on the road like they stole something. 33-0 and 33-13. May have been back to back games. Georgia struggled that year, but LSU was good and talented.

And they have a dumpster-fire program now. I just don’t see another program luring him away from what he’s built at UK. If money is his need then UK will poney up what he wants.
