Can you compare their stats? For some reason you dont want to discuss facts. That 176 passer rating is hard to argue against.

Maybe. Maybe not.

That loss was actually more about trying to get cute on the defensive side of the ball and getting away from the aggressive, attacking style the Dawgs had been playing all year. Maybe Fromm could have done better, but Bennett still had 340 yards and 3 TDs. It's not like he laid a complete egg.

Another thing to think about is this will be the first spring/offseason/fall where Stetson is the undisputed #1 in Monken's offense. During other offseasons, he's always been lower down on the depth chart and not getting consistent reps with the 1st team.

For reference, here is Nick Mullens' draft scouting report from NFL.com. Seems quite similar to one that could be written for Bennett doesn't it?

Analysis

Overview

Mullens is a productive college quarterback with good competitiveness and toughness, but lacking the minimum standards of size and arm strength. Mullens could make it into camp, but is unlikely to find a spot on a roster.

Strengths

Good foot quickness in the pocket

Can go from play-action to pass-ready quickly

Able to bounce around and find slivers of space to cut it loose when pressure descends

Can make expedited throws from off-balance angles and hit his targets

Capable in controlled passing attack with tight release

Throws with quality touch

Exceptional toughness

Had training staff "push the bone back in" and stitch up a compound fracture in his thumb against Texas-San Antonio so he could finish the game

Weaknesses

Well below NFL norm for size

Small frame unlikely to ever carry desired mass

Lacks NFL-caliber arm to push the ball down the field and drive it between the hashes without defensive backs making plays on the ball

Will opt out of throwing from balanced platform and into back foot tosses

Doesn't bring his lower body through his throws to maximize velocity

Floats throws to field side and in the deep middle

Needs to get ball out earlier to compensate for a lack of arm

If Bennett is the game 4 starter (without injury) then Kirby will cement his reputation as being incapable of managing a QB room.

Another one in a long line of horrid takes on UGA football by Smokey.

Anybody who calls themself a football fan, and doesn’t give the QB of a NC team props, is not a knowledgeable fan.

He has managed it so well that 2 of the guys you guaranteed would have already transferred after the season are still happily on the team.

You were wrong about uga AGAIN. No one does that better than you.

Players transfer after spring practice.

They didnt transfer after spring practice. Not one of them.

They know Bennett is the starter and accept their place behind him, which is excellent Qb room management.

You were wrong. Per usual.

Why bother? Those same fans want to see another guy start, then someone else come in to make sure they are ready should the guy in front of them goes down, and then see the next guy just in case the guy in front of him goes down...so they can evaluate the talent themselves. What could go wrong playing tue entire QB room every game to make sure they all get reps?

You hope he’s not the starter!! Because if he’s cemented once more by game 4 like the last 2 years.. then another a$$ whipping for the Vols is in route!! Like the last 2 years!!

2020- 238 and 2 TDs passing, 22 yds ru and a TD - QBR 90.6

2021- 213 and a TD passing, 40 yds ru and a TD - QBR 83.5

Bennett’s accounted for 5 TDs (3pass, 2 ru) last 2 years to UT’s 4 total in offense..

And he did that while we killed clock in the 2nd halves, which is a concept that really blows the mind of smokeyone

The vama line wasnt "great", the combination was bad and marrone was ab abysmal hire. Young's mobility, accuracy, and iq masked alot of the line's deficiencies.

The Vols D was terrible last year. If you take Bennett as a whole he’s a walkon for very legitimate reasons. An average to below average arm, not a running QB, short and overall unathletic. If he is your game 4 starter, barring injury that likely sees Beck (should transfer before the the season) and Vandagriff leave the program. That leaves Stockton as a true freshman as the only scholarship QB on the roster. Which means next year it will be him and whatever transfer Kirby can find (only 1 uncommitted QB in the top 40 right now and it’s an FSU/Miss st battle). So next year would see UGA with an empty QB room as far as experience goes.

But hey, Kirby has a rep for not managing QBs very well for a reason too, right. The fact the national champions do not have a QB of the future locked down at this point should be concerning. But Disney Dawgs are fine with it I guess.

Repetitive Retarded smokeyone fan fiction about the qb room.

Thinking uga fans should be concerned about being the defending national champs is humorous though.

So Beck waits 3 years only to leave when the spot is open? BV waits 2 years so he can leave when the spot is open?

But Disney Dawgs are fine

Smart is averaging a natty appearance every 3 years. Should UGA fans be demanding more?

Well...he had the same QB in Tampa for 3 straight years, too.

Winston's Passing yards and TDs stats.

2016 - 4090/ 28
2017 - 3504/ 19
2018 - 2992/ 19
