Dude's a serviceable walk on that was propped up by an all star cast last year. He's not throwing for 4k. I'll take that bet.
While I agree that he won't get 4,000 yards a lot of people don't realize that he threw for 2,862 yards last season, while not starting all our games.
I do believe we throw the ball more, which is why I could see 3,500 yards passing for him if he plays in all our games. That said, the schedule is weak so we could shut it down early again this year, so....

You can't throw for 300+ against 98% of the SEC much less all of cfb.
And the SEC is tougher than the rest of college football, so, maybe you are wrong? Think about the rest of college football compared to the SEC. Think about the two playoff teams that faced SEC teams last season and what happened to them. (98% is a high number, though, but 98% also contains a LOT of bad teams)

Remember last offseason when first-year Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp was supposed to be the magic elixir that transformed Auburn's defense from punchline to power and join head coach Gus Malzahn to create one of the most feared coaching forces in college football?
So far, not so good.
The Tigers rank last in the SEC in total defense (426.2 YPG), 11th in yards per play (5.75), 13th in rush defense (197.67 YPG), 11th in pass defense (228.5 YPG) and tied for 12th in scoring defense (25.7 PPG).
Not sure at what point in the season that was written, but here is how it ended:
Auburn
When the Auburn defensive coordinator position became available in January 2006, Muschamp took the opportunity to return to the college game. In 2006, Muschamp's first season at Auburn, the defense finished seventh among NCAA Division I-FBS teams in scoring defense, allowing only 21 touchdowns.[12] In 2007, Auburn led the SEC in scoring defense and finished in the top 10 in four defensive categories (ranking 7th nationally in pass efficiency[13] and 6th nationally in total defense,[14] passing defense[15] and scoring defense[16] among NCAA Division I-FBS teams).
It takes more than one off season to transform a defense/offense.

An Auburn fan should know. Remind us what both seasons of Auburn's Title years had in common.

11 regular season games, a 3 post season games… so it took 14 games to get there. 200 yards a game with teams selling out to stop the run.

Good lord. You talking about the same Stetson Bennet that everyone wanted to bench up until the last 5 minutes of the national title game?
Dude makes 3 good throws and he’s Georgia’s Burrow.

How many get drafted?
You have opinions. Make a prediction.
Brock Bowers - Ladd McConkey - AD Mitchell - Kearis Jackson - Arik Gilbert - Darnell Washington - Dom Blaylock - Arian Smith - Oscar Delp - Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint - Kenny McIntosh

Two things to point out:
1) Bennett threw for 70% of his yardage total in the first half of games. An astute analysis would lead one to conclude that Stetson wasn't asked to throw the ball much in the second half of games due to already having a commanding lead.
2) UGA's run game will be just as strong if not stronger this year, so teams will still need to play the run first leaving less personnel to stop the pass.

And that’s the way Kirby likes his QBs. And why Fields and Eason left. And when they asked Fromm to actually throw a bit they lost.

Bit of a leap given the loss of guys in the backfield. Replacing 1,500 yards and years of experience.

Check out the 25+ throws.
It is more than 3 throws.
Bennett was bombing over top of every opponent (including Bama and Michigan)

Missouri fan talking shite about Stet, reminds of the Michigan guys saying he was shite pre orange bowl and being like, he is better than both our qbs post orange bowl.

Mitchell is a Texas transplant that played in west TN, McConkey was born and raised in Ga. Neither was heavily recruited by Huepel.
It would have taken nothing but a simple offer for both of them to be key WRs for the the unranked vols rather than key WRs for the national champion dawgs. Fulmer’s knockoff version of Kirby fricked that up.

Eason left because Fromm thoroughly beat him out.
Fields was imoatient, he would have a national title now if he stayed.
Stet 1 mationatitle and undefeated in the playoffs, Eason never got there and fields lost.

I agree that it is not a given that the running game is dominant.
UGA has health questions (milton has been nic'd up much of the past 2 years. McIntosh has missed a few weeks with issues).
But the interior OL are maulers.
It could be the best run G/C/G combo of the kirby era. We will have a 3 yr starter (junior) at RT. And 5 star who neutralized Bama's dominant duo in the NCG at LT.

If we had Brady, he wouldn't pass for 4000 yards.
1. We blow out the competition to the point we're not throwing the ball at all in the fourth quarter too many times.
2. Kirby will not throw the ball enough even when the games are in doubt early on.
Doesn't even take into account Bennett's shortcomings as a passer.
