Looking some names up:

Nick Marshall - Auburn 2013

Greg McElroy - Bama -2011/12 ish

Todd Boekman - Ohio State - 2008

Anyone else think of any?

Disagree about McElroy. He was solid.

I love him but Jalen Hurts of 2017 (or 2016) was not as good a college QB as Stetson Bennett is.

You could argue Jay Barker.

As soon as I hit send I recalled that. He was a backup for two titles.

I stand corrected

That’s a good one. Despite having NFL WRs, Those LSU offenses were so 1-dimensional

Who was Georgia’s QB the last time we played them in a title game?

Fromm I believe. He actually has played in the NFL so he’s definitely above future insurance salesman Stetson

Cardale Jones in 2014 felt like such a fluke.

Stetson Bennett is fairly comparable to Greg McElroy, pending the results of Mondays game, of course. McElroys best asset is that he won a national championship and was instrumental in kick starting Alabamas dominance over the last 14 years. McElroy may have been more talented than Bennett, although Bennett seems to make the most of his limited talented.

Bennett and Marshall are apples and oranges. Hard to even compare them. Marshall powered his team to some victories with his legs in 2013.

I guess that's what you could call what does out there, but it's debatable.

Jake Coker was the worst QB to start in a natty in a long time, before him it was probably McElroy.

Stetson is better than both.
