That’s Hunchball baby.

And a lot of wicked regression from that bullpen that was really really good the last two seasons
Best bullpen in baseball since 5/11. Lots of versatile pieces.

Give Joe a hard time, but when dudes are rested he’s done a good job of deploying his pieces and even the lesser parts have stepped up
Brice Matthews has to go

And Joe has to go. Why the frick are you bunting before Vazquez anyway. Twice this week
Well not watching, but if they lose this one looks to be on Altuve. GIDP and then an error in the same inning. He’s hurting the team pretty consistently. Frustrating
That was a great AB. Wore Framber out and got the mistake. That was loud
Weather looks perfect up there today.
Heard that Dana didn’t go to the scouting combine, which is shocking because scouting is his thing, because he’s focused on helping the big league club only right now.

Weird spot

The worst case for any franchise imo is consistently being an 80 win team

To be fair, outside of the Yankees and we all know they are a fraudulent regular season merchants, that’s the entirety of the AL. I think as fans we tend to lose sight of the rest of the competition because we are hyper focused on our team. There’s a lot of teams in contention with as big of warts as this team that haven’t had to go through the injury stuff this team has. Am I saying this is a World Series or the best team in the AL? Absolutely not. But they aren’t all that much different from who they are competing with.

I’m always team go for it (relative to what you can spend) if you can make the playoffs. Is that foolish? Maybe, but I’m not super infatuated with selling off just bc you can get prospects that might contribute one day especially with another three weeks to go before you have to make that decision. Now moving off big money anchor contracts is a different story, always pro that if there is a taker.

They’ve sort of capitalized on the weaker part of the schedule for sure and they have a pretty long runway of playing middling to bad teams until the deadline (Twins, Rays, Nats, Rangers, O’s, Marlins, White Sox, Angels). They are middling to bad themselves so the players can show if they want the FO to add some help or move off valuable assets. Feels to early to call even though I’ve punted on this team like 10 times already this season
Time to be as nasty to Spencer as I was to everyone else slumping in April.

Just absolute unacceptable dogshit fricking his team over. Not giving them a chance to win a game and setting the bullpen back for the rest of the weekend because he can’t be efficient. His pitching his way to being odd man out/trade bait for a LH bat. Five BB’s is pathetic.

Offense isn’t off the hook either. They’ve sucked last few games too
Homers and elevated pitch counts are becoming an issue for him

These fastball velo’s are concerning
Yainer too stupid to function. Ridiculous to even attempt the throw and then too stupid to draw the batters interference. He’s just not a good player
Rehab start numbers don’t really matter, but of note:

Javi went like 5 scoreless with 4 punch in his last rehab outing. Sounds like he will get the ball Saturday. Maybe a piggyback opportunity with Teng

Blanco had his second rehab outing (in Corpus). He went 3.1 scoreless with 2 K’s

Lance is in Sugarland. He went 3 scoreless striking out 4.

Wesneski is close to going to an affiliate and pitching im pretty sure as well
Glove don’t slump. frick yes Walker

Great win
Imai

Last two starts. 12 innings, 3 ER, 21 K’s, 1 BB!
Jeez both of these pitchers are absolutely dealing
