Example of what an actual "Stepping Stone" move is: Jim Schlossnagle

Ha Ha. You get all twisted inside over me trolling uta, but you actually believe bringing up Schloss is not a troll. Just because a dude takes a job where his good buddy who he loves to have group sex with is the boss does not mean that's an example of a stepping stone job.

Troll attempts tend to make sense like Schloss using A&M as a stepping stone, not naming random coaches that got fired.
The most successful A&M coach in 80 years left for their rival. That is by definition a stepping stone move. Much like UCLA's Defensive coordinator leaving to be USC's.

Not a an example of your topic. Nutt had no good choice but to leave given the circumstances. He would have been an example if he had taken the Nebraska job in 2003 which he should have and saved himself a lot of misery.

Then Chancellor John White said that Nutt's decision was not forced, encouraged or requested.

So he had the choice of staying but would have been fired after the 2008 season.

Had he taken the Nebraska, he would been fired as Nebraska had much higher expectations back then.

The Auburn job is supposed to be so much better than Ole Miss, why did he turn them down?

IDK, but with that logic, you're admitting Ole Miss is a better job than Arkansas.

When using the term “using” in a relationship, it’s typically a one sided relationship. The Saban - LSU relationship was one in which both sides greatly benefited from the relationship.

LSU and Saban, both, were far better off after the relationship ended than before it began. Therefore, the term “used” cannot be properly applied in the LSU - Saban relationship.

Went to the NFL.

Would have never left LSU for another college.

Not a stepping stone.

But you already knew this.
