ASU just beat a top ten team on the road by three touchdowns. Kill yourself.

Again... LSU offered Chavis 1.8 to stay. Sorry he didn't want you.

That's not why he's not here.......he refused to have his contract directly tied to Les Miles.......it wasn't about money......

He wanted his contract and money to be independent of Les Miles.....

LSU refused.......Chavis walked! That simple really....

And Ole Miss has beaten Bama in consecutive years. Weird things happen in college football.

True. Appears that our 3* and 4* DBs as well as our running back turned DB are doing pretty well under the Chief.

aTm's pass rush is much, much better than LSU's. The secondary isn't going to be put under a ton of pressure with the front aTm has, and LSU's secondary is going to give up yards because of the lack of a pass rush, particularly late in games.

It's a moot point, to be honest.

Difference is, only delusional LSU fans are hanging their hat on that win. All of the Aggys seem to be hanging theirs on a mediocre ASU team. Get it?

Or nah?

I mean if you want to keep comparing Syracuse to arizona st, feel free. I'll give you one thing though, Syracuse is much more consistent... at being awful.

They won by 15.

They actually did get beat by 4 TDs, at home, to another top 10 team the week before.

Compare 2014 to 2015. LSU is about the same, A&M is way improved.

I think it's too early for these kinds of comparisons, but you're right, Texas A&M has improved tremendously over last year. The original post is too simplistic.

Even if you just look at the statistics, you have to take competition into account -- LSU has only played two opponents who rank in the top 100 of Total Offense. All of Texas A&M's opponents are currently ranked in the top 100.

Going by ESPN's numbers, the average Total Offense rank for LSU's four opponents is 80.5 The average rank for Texas A&M's five opponents is 53.6.

In terms of National Total Defense Rank, Texas A&M has moved up 40 spots from where they were last year, while LSU has moved down 8 spots.

And there are a lot more variables involved than just looking at the defensive statistics, and one of the major factors is the type of Offense that teams run. LSU's Offense typically lends itself to better statistics than A&M's does.

I'm not 100% sure you can read at this point....

Have I once compared Syracuse to Arizona St.? I've said neither is a quality win. That's not comparing them.

TAMU first 5 games Schedule has been on par if not worse than 2014.

2014 Opp w/l through 5 games

SCAR 3-2
LAMAR 3-2
Rice 2-3
SMU 0-5
ARKY 3-2

2015 OPP w/l through 5 games

ASU 3-2
Ball St 2-3
NEV 2-3
ARKY 2-3
MSU 3-2

Almost the exact same schedule I don't see much difference in the defense than last year.

Irrelevant to the claim that Syracuse would beat them.

Now, Syracuse might very well beat LSU's signature win Auburn.
