Charlottesville, VA to Starkville, MS ?!!? No fricking way. O'Connor probably has a beach house on Chesapeake Bay. But you're telling me that guy is going to leave Northern VA to move to flat arse, red dirt Starkville, MS.

I'm not sure Oxford's surroundings are any more scenic that Starkville's.

Lafayette county is a dump, like most places in Mississippi.

This is not up for debate. It is, objectively, a poverty stricken hellscape with a university for lagniappe where the sons of Texas and Georgia who couldn't get into Texas and Georgia go to.

It's a retard fight, only one side is so deluded that they don't realize it.

bullshite.

In Holly Sprangs you can see where Graceland 2 used to be and a bunch of antebellum homes that have fallen into disrepair.

In Batesville you can see where they used to have outlet malls.

Pontotoc and New Albany have Super Walmarts.

There’s a reason why Oxford/ Ole Miss is a destination visit for college football fans. And Ole Miss attracts students from all over the country.

And there’s a reason why Starkville is consistently ranked the worst college town in the SEC and is only hyped by State fans who grew up in other shite holes in Mississippi and have never left the state.

Oxford shits on Starkville.

They are both shitty once you leave the state of Mississippi if we're being honest.

State's next coach....

Ole miss fans - Oxford is great! Are y'all that damn insecure?

Way to derail the thread. Typical Ole Miss/State thread though.

Forgiveness please. I assumed you understand it was implied we were talking about head coaches. To further illustrate my point, though, Miss St is the kind of school that hires our assistant coaches as their head coaches.

oxford is closer to starkville than any other SEC town/city in practically every measurable metric.

population, income, amenities, academics. those are facts.

oxford is nice, but lets not get too ahead of ourselves here. its a rural mississippi town in the middle of bumfrick mississippi with about an hour drive to anything remotely large enough to call a city. i lived in starkville for 4 years and oxford for 3...oxford is the superior of the two, but there isnt much difference.

So which SEC Coach is Pepperdine going to hire away?

I mean all the Southern Living sports enthusiasts in this thread would agree that Malibu & that beach are far superior to any SEC location, right? What else could a Coach ask for?

Oxford, the die is cast. They are growing. Be as big as San Francisco in a few years, and just as sophisticated.
