I don’t think we will either. Kendall Rogers seems to think it’ll be BOC, Was, or Fitzgerald. A lot of talk about Bakich as well, but I don’t know if I’m buying that.
Would be happy with any of those 4

Lived many places over the years and I expect I will retire there. It is a sportsman's paradise. I get that lifestyle isn't for everyone, but I love the area.

I’ve lived all over the world, the GTR is an objectively great place to live, I really have no interest in leaving

For a baseball coach? Not even slightly. I agree it has an impact for Basketball and Football coaches. It's so clear who did and didn't grow up around the sport. These guys and their wives don't do anything outside of baseball. They are a different dynamic than the other sports.
I guess if they live in the leftfield condo's, and never leave the baseball compound.. Don't have kids...

Bakich should be the play here, imo
He's not. He wouldn't leave Clemson for Mississippi State. Nobody would.

Garl and his infinite wisdom has spoken. Mississippi State cannot hire a head coach and the baseball program will shut down.

Didn't realize you were a chick. I wouldn't have been so matter of fact.

Well we all can’t be surrounded by exquisite locales such as Batesville, Water Valley, and Holly Springs.

You know, you’re not wrong. Oxford isn’t a lot better, but the perception is, and that’s all that really matters to most people.

Not a lot of difference between Oxford and Starkville
Yeah, other than Oxford constantly being named one of the best small towns in the nation and one of the top school systems in the state. Forget about it hosting James Beard award winning restaurants, all of the beautiful parks, Rowan Oak, etc... No difference at all.

I could give you a couple different magazines that have recently listed Starkville as a top college town, if that’s all we are going by here.
NY Post

Once defined by the spirited pulse of Mississippi State University, Starkville, Mississippi has emerged as a multifaceted destination, recently named the top small Southern town by USA Today for the second consecutive year. With a population exceeding 25,000, this community blends affordability, economic vitality and cultural richness, attracting a diverse mix of residents from young professionals to retirees.

I think Bakich will be the next coach at Vanderbilt when Corbin retires. He used to coach there in Corbin’s early days and they are still close friends.

Sorry, but Ole Miss/Oxford is the poster place for southern pretentiousness, wealth and aristocracy...
Starkville is just kind of.... normal.
