4-0 vs the Rebels. GG rebels. DWAGS win 7-3.

We definitely upgraded from our national championship winning coach to a better recruiting and team building national championship winning coach. I don’t think we have the bullpen and situational hitting to win a natty, but baseball is fun again and we could always get hot. 9 straight wins. Let’s see how our trip to Austin goes. Should be a fun series.

State needs at least one sport you’re competitive in. Smart pouring all your resources into one sport your fans really care about.

State has a great team. They've corrected the issues behind the plate with the passed balls. If the defense can be solid in the postseason and the young arms in the bullpen can continue to develop they'll make an Omaha run. The lineup is loaded offensively 1 thru 9 with additional bats to pinch hit in the late innings. I remember Ole Miss doing this same thing to MSU back in 2005. Went 4-0 against the Dawgs during the regular season. But then we met in the SEC Tourney Final. That's the game everyone remembers from that season......

Brian O Conner is a heck of a coach and still young. No reason for him not to win at least one natty in the next 10 years. I think he might win a couple

O’Connor is an excellent coach and this year’s team has exceeded my expectations to this point. I did not buy in on that we were a top five/ten team. I knew we were improved over last year. Maybe top twenty (and that maybe where we end up this year when all is said and done). But as OP said, baseball is fun again at the Dude and the trajectory of this team and the program overall is headed in the right direction.

Coach Bianco is still a tremendous coach and I don’t get the Ole Miss fans who are ready to run him off. Ole Miss is a good team this year and is capable of making a good postseason run.
At the very least, he deserves to step down when he feels it is time. I would hate to see him get forced out prematurely. This coming from a State alum/fan who has a lot of respect for him and his program. In fact I pull for OM when they are not playing State.

We just beat your arse in baseball 4 times in a row, your basketball program is worse than ours, and Lane Kiffin no longer resides in Oxford. Golding will be fired in two years. Look in a mirror.

What are you willing to bet on that?

They just played the 14th and 15th ranked SEC teams with 5/6 games being competitive that could have gone either way. This weekend when they actually play someone will tell if they've corrected their issues.
