What's the point?
Especially if you just stood there and had strike 3 called on you and it was clearly a legit strike

I don’t know.
I also don’t know how you star at someone.

Probably due to the quick edit by OP, but this post is not getting the love it deserves.

Sounds like something Juan Soto would do.

Same as a pitcher mouthing off to a batter after a strikeout. Just more pointless shite.
But the real question.... did the batter have his shirt unbuttoned.

Not the same. The pitch mouthing off is at least consistent, he’s fired up about winning. The failed striked-out batter staring at the pitcher is kinda odd.

So much of the dynamic is about intimidation. Then they get pissed off for getting beat, and are looking for motivation to channel their frustration.
Batter wants the pitcher to be more humble and not show him up.
Pitcher wants batter to be more humble and not show him up.

That crap didn't happen as much when the players were allowed to police the game and pitchers had to hit. But now, with all the "safety" rules it's given players more courage to act an a$$ because they know they're not going to be ear-holed at the plate anymore.

it goes a little further than just mooning them....you kinda have to open up to get the star.

People bitched about this at LSU games all year. Being at games, a lot of those were players staring at the big screen in left field watching the replay of themselves striking out to see where the pitch was.
My guess is some of those are guys watching replays, and many less staring at the pitcher to get offended if he celebrates too much
