Steve please, worry about your team. Until you beat somebody of note consistently and not bomb a couple games a season, YOU stop worrying about who gets in the BCS and worry about getting yourself there. Gosh he's always got on my nerves with his "opinions". At least ND has played in BCS bowls no matter how they got there.

I'm just amazed that after 20+ years in the conference, this man can still get under people's skin so easily.

I'm sure if he had Notre Dame's schedule he would be in a BCS bowl game.

Spurrier has a point. The school joined the ACC in all sports but football.....yet they will play 5 ACC games a season. That is bullshite. Make them join in football if they are going to play 5 a season.

1. ND was in the NC last year, I'd qualify that as doing something on the field. They may not have done anything on the field against Bama in the game, but an undefeated regular season is VERY hard to achieve.

2. They never will join a football conference. They make too much from NBC. If they were ever going to join a conference they would have joined the Big 10 during the last round of expansion. Reaching the NC last year sealed the deal that they will never join a conference because it means they are "relevant" again and NBC will want to continue to pay them to broadcast their games every Saturday.

I loved how he just made it sound like they were all sitting around at the meeting, shooting the shite, and was like "You know what's some shite?".

Perfect.

He'll be missed, whenever he hangs it up.

Only way ND joins the ACC in any sports is if they only have to play 5 games. ND values their independence as much as we all value playing in the SEC. Plus it's a good deal for both sides: ND gets exposure in Florida, SC, NC and Georgia and ACC gets one of the biggest brands in college football.

Screw Spurrier. The guy is a great coach, so why does he always feel obliged to talk about other programs? By the way, the Irish play folks like Michigan, Michigan St., USC and other pretty good teams on a regular basis. By the way, I am not a huge Irish fan.

Hes beat UF 2 out of the past 3 years, UGA 3 straight times, split with Bama, bashed Tennessee, and had USCe play tough against LSU last season.

If Spurrier coached and recruited at ND, he'd destroy everyone.

Spurrier has outcoached Saban quite a bit in their head-to-head meetings.

What makes you think with his coaching and recruiting at ND that he couldn't handle Bama?

Did you already forget when we beat y'all by double digits the last time we played, just a few years ago?

Steve Spurrier never played a great Bama or LSU team. 2001 was decent but not great.

You're telling me 2010 Bama and 2012 LSU weren't good teams?

Why should ND join a conference? I don't mean that facetiously, I'm being serious.

Did you forget that Saban is undefeated against Notre Dame?
