That is a terrible list. It’s bad at the beginning, middle and end

Not really sure what Lane Kiffin has done to be ahead of Heupel.
He beat Heupel in year 1 but besides that no metrics support kiffin being better than Heupel unless the attitude is ole miss is a harder place to win.

Brian Kelly....FUN FACTS...
Has the best winning percentage of all ND head coaches. Has the most wins of all active head coaches. Took over a nightmare after Coach O. Roster was depleted. Already had a Heisman winner, and 3 straight bowl wins with Bayou Bengals. And this upcoming year, LSU has one of their best overall rosters on paper. I respect the guy tremendously. Also, won Natty while in Division 2.

Cignetti beat one(!) team with a winning record last year and shot up to the top 25. Ridiculous.
Indiana was one of the feel-good stories of the year, and I was rooting for Cignetti based on his time at Alabama, but you're exactly right — they had no business ending up where they did, and his ranking is absurd.

Pittman is way too high

This isn’t true. He has the most wins, but he just coached by far the most games. He also has the most losses and is 11th out of 24 in winning percentage all-time at ND, behind all 5 of ND’s national championship coaches (Rockne, Leahy, Ara, Devine, Holtz) and 5 others (including Freeman).

Ah, now it makes sense.

Dabo is one hell of a coach. He takes high school kids and molds them year after year into a powerhouse and does it without NIL and transfers. I have to give him credit and now they’re posted to possibly win it all again this year.
The flip side is Ryan day who had 24 NFL draft picks and 21 were transfers. I’m not sure how good of a coach he is.
I feel like the rant would have won an NBA title with Jordan and Pippen

Seems the 10rC poster is mad.

Maybe 1%, have not done the math.

I'm going to need a bigger sample size than 1 season to put him in the Top 5.

Kelly is a top 15 coach at minimum, and probably top 10.
But you’re really supposed to be even better than a top 10 coach to remain at a Big Six (is it now Big Eight?) SEC school over the long run.

But isn’t getting players out of the portal (which Dabo doesn’t do) supposed to be part of a coach’s job in the 2020s?

Heupel probably belongs ahead of him, just based on overall win percentage.

I agree... way to high. They should rank these based on what coaches have done at their current location.
