I was skimming the post about AJC/UGA - i don’t know the details bc i didn’t click on the links but a poster made a comment about the Athens Police Department looking the other way for crimes done by Dawg players

It brought back a conversation i had with the State Attorney over Gainesville …he has since retired but i asked him how were the players doing during Mullen’s days - he had a previous relationship w/ Dan and so Dan set up regular meetings with the SAO and the football team to help build relationships so that the players knew to trust the prosecutors and thus help keep stories from becoming stories

It seemed to work, he said that kids started learning to respect the laws and it made it easier to have conversations with them before things got escalated and the players were facing some serious consequences for stupidity.

Have any y’all ever talked to the local DA/ SA on ways they helped keep players from acting a fool and severely hurting the overall team by being dismissed/ arrested?

Adam Anderson is scheduled to go to trial on a rape charge. That's really bad.

A bunch of other players received super speeder tickets.

What else you got, Gator?

What are all of these other "acting a fool and severely hurting the overall team by being dismissed/ arrested?"

It's amazing we have to educate 18 year olds on what is right and wrong. I know a lot of these kids don't have a great upbringing, but what the hell are they learning in school?

Probably get a pass on a lot of stuff in the high schools, so they think they can get away with it in real life when they get to college. Maybe the high schools should take some responsibility?

It’s just a microcosm of the rest of society and college kids at that age. Most/many kids that go to college start drinking, partying, doing drugs, etc and all that comes with it. They are free to make their own decisions, both good and bad for the first time in their lives. As the father of two children around this age, all I can do at this point is pray they don’t make bad decisions.

Illegal street racing resulting in the death of a player and staffer in a UGA AD provided car used in a recruiting visit to a strip club? Oh and the other driver fled, lied to police, left a teammate for dead. I feel like that should be part of the conversation.

The domestic with a minor that went away

The forced sodomy involving a minor recruit videotaping it just dropped (production of child porn even if he taped it)

I mean there IS a culture issue without consequences in Athens that fans seem ok with.

Have you met adults?

For most people, right and wrong boils down to purely whatever the frick they want to do. Then they'll go and bitch about how everybody else acts when they're a hypocritical piece of shite.

My personal favorites are the ones who want to talk about how these kids would all be acting better if they just took Jesus into their hearts and then they're trying to raise money for their pastor's defense fund because he's been fricking 12 year olds.

I'm not familiar with this one.

That's just the weirdest interpretation of child porn I've ever read. If you get bored feel free to read THIS ARTICLE and then come back. "Forced sodomy?"

Gotta say Napier hasn't had many kids in trouble. One outlier was the Kidna the child porn sick bitch. Not sure how Napier could have known or prevented

His massive support staff seems to be killing it. I know GA won't be missing her much but Katie Turner has turned out to be a fantastic hire along with quite a few of the other young ladies

Nothing. Public schools are glorified day care centers these days. There is a large number of functioning illiterates with high school degrees these days. And it’s all by design. When was the last time you heard a candidate from either party even mention education as part of his or her agenda?

Cleat chasing 20 year old got a hotel room where recruit was staying, made contact with him, wanted to blow him about 3 or 4 times, did, he filmed it (she held the phone for the filming), he then didn’t act as nice as she thought he should the next day and went to police to lie about the encounter. She later retracted her lies about the encounter while under investigation and after realizing she could go to jail since he was 16 and she was 20.

Let’s just say smokeyone has a big imagination when it comes to UGA, doesn’t understand what consensual means, and thinks using a term like sodomy in place of a blow job doesn’t make him look like a complete weirdo.

Ironically it is the dawg with the purse acting defensive.

It’s usually women using purses to act defensive from dogs
