Eh, I’m not sure about this at all.

But, it’s Bama. We have been jinxed, cursed, our own worst enemy, psyched out, whatever you want to say in our last eight meetings with you guys. Until we slay that mental and emotional demon, I’m going to still give Bama the edge in the game, unfortunately.

Oklahoma doesn’t have a horrible defense this year though

It's close for sure, but I give LSU the edge because we've established a run game and we've played a top defense that barely slowed us down.

We'll know more as the season unfolds and we get some more common opponents, and of course the head-to-head

In large part due to our O-line stepping up in a massive way. Other than Burrow and our wideouts they are definitely our most improved position group from last year.

Our week front 7 is going to shite the bed against that O-Line I'm sad to say.

To be the man you gotta beat the man and unfortunately for our LSU TIGERS we have been getting smoked by the man for about 8 seasons straight. Obviously this is a different TIGER team and Im hopeful THIS is the year. But, this is still another Great Nick Saban coached team were gonna be facing in November. Looks like it's setting up to be a thriller.

Reread your post and realize the irony for LSU fans when it comes to Alabama.

LSU leads the country in several offensive stats and has beaten two top ten teams, now including one of the best defenses in the country. That is reality.

Based on what exactly?

LSU is ranked 102nd in passing defense against Power 5 teams. Bama is ranked 48th. LSU is ranked 55th in opposing passer rating against Power 5 teams. Bama is ranked 22nd. LSU is ranked 81st in total defense against Power 5 teams. Bama is ranked 55th. And before people bring up the top 10 teams aspect, Texas is ranked 35th in total offense while Florida is ranked 43rd. Far from great. Florida in particular have the record that they have due to their great defense not their offense.

Yeah, buddy. Keep latching on to scores from years past, just like UF fans did all week.

Really? Georgia southern, Utah State and vandy and northwestern state are all worse, so far, than southern miss,
New Mexico state and south Carolina, who just beat ga on the road.

LSU by a nose IMHO. The thing is though, it doesn’t matter. It’s about that one game in November and who is better on BOTH sides of the ball. And for eight games that has been Alabama.

For now, and we really do not know how good either Texas (who has lost 2 games now) and Florida really is.

By the way, they moved the ball very well on LSU.

Georgia Southern, Northwest State, Vanderbilt, and Utah State helped build those stats are well.

Reality is it is a long season, the ball takes funny bounces, and it has been a long time since LSU beat Alabama (and some of those LSU teams were supposed to be offensive powers, well they started out that way.)
