Yeah, but what happens if the SEC is not successful on Thursday? I put it at 50/50 odds TBH. What happens in that event? Do they play

Then they might play and probably isn’t anything the SEC can legally do about it.

Sort of like Ole Miss playing Chambliss

Well there we have it. The judges this week will be fair and we should go by what they say

Bediako got his TRO in Tuscaloosa court after playing 3 years in the NBA G-league.

TROs have been passed in multiple states, including Alabama, after players sued.

ETA:

And he earned ~12x the money DaQuan Wright did playing with professionals.

Thanks for showing LSU what an appropriate hill to die on looks like!

Not immediately. They will have to wait until game 2.

I'd bet Wright is the only player we use most of the regular season anyway. Harris and Cotton are recovering with no timetable and the DE from Notre Dame is eligible no matter what.

I think LSU only rosters these guys if they feel REALLY CONFIDENT that they're going to ultimately have a leg to stand on legally. This isn't something you just take a chance on.

That's where this is headed. Lane is arrogant, but he's not stupid. When 15 university presidents are discussing kicking lsu out, the conference is threatening suspension of the coach and huge monetary fines, he's not going to risk it. The appeals court in Louisiana isn't going to rule against LSU, but I still don't see Lane rolling the dice on Friday.
The LSU Administration will make these decisions, not the head football coach.
Dr. Wde Rousse - President
Jim Dalton - Chancellor - EVP
Steve Lautz - Exec Compliance
Verge Ausberry - Athletic Director

These gentlemen will ensure LSU adheres to the NCAA and SEC rules and regulations.
