Zeb Noland is going from coach to starting quarterback at South Carolina. Noland, who came to South Carolina as a graduate assistant on Shane Beamer's coaching staff, will be the Gamecocks' starter at quarterback when they open the season Saturday against Eastern Illinois, sources told ESPN on Tuesday. Noland thought he had finished his playing career in May when his North Dakota State team lost to Sam Houston State in the FCS quarterfinals. He had already landed a spot as a grad assistant on Beamer's staff, but he traded in his coaching gear for a helmet and shoulder pads and joined in the race for the Gamecocks' quarterback job after Luke Doty injured his left foot earlier this preseason.

During his final season at North Dakota State, the 6-2, 232-pound Noland passed for 721 yards with five touchdowns and six interceptions in seven games.
It looks like he was pretty bad at NDSU.

This is the weakest QB room I've seen in awhile..
St. Francis PA transfer (Senior)
Luke Doty
Some other dudes
Now this guy who started at Iowa State and finished at N. Dak St.
The St. Francis transfer threw for over 3,000 yards, 28 TDs and 6 INT in 2019. But it was for St. Francis...

I can’t believe this is a serious story. Man feel bad for USC fans

Hopefully we can just run the ball down a lot of team's throats, at least against the teams we should beat (EIU, ECU, Troy, Vandy).

Is he good?
Yes. ND State lost in the finals of Division 2. They probably could have beaten South Carolina last year.

The question was asking if HE is good, not if NDSU is good.

Is Jason Brown that bad to lose out to this guy?

This is...interesting.
I know I will be following this guy's season and hope he has success. That would be a great story.

What was the reason for Hilinski leaving?

Probably Bobo the Clown coming onboard and playing favorites with Colorado State QB Collin Hill who came with Bobo.
