Keep thinking that. We are very happy with what Pope is doing, and knowing that he can in game coach is so refreshing.

I liked Cal, hope he does well at Arkansas and brings you guys some success like you haven't seen in a while, but he struggles with how to use all that young talent, and I doubt that is changing.

It does seem like the wheels are coming off for him.

I’d hate to see him go, we’d give up Billy but…

I think Stoops is just mentally cooked. Kentucky should move on.

I can’t tell you how disappointing it is to wait all summer for football, invest in the program, have 10 starters return on defense, most talent we’ve ever had at receiver, promised our Georgia transfer QB was great and then have it all wrecked by an offensive line that gets destroyed by a true freshman that looks like Jadeveon Clowney on steroids. I promise we care. We have a lot more talent than we showed, but if you can’t protect, you get wrecked. LSU might beat South Carolina, but I’ll be surprised if they can block Dylan Stewart.

Mark Stoops has been very vocal about losing to teams like BAMA and Georgia because of the talent gap. That doesn't explain these annual beatdowns by teams with less talent. He has never been able to get the offense going with much-sustained success. There is nothing wrong with playing to your defensive strengths but Kentucky struggles to show much offensive imagination at all.

The South Carolina game was the end for me with Stoops. Looking like that against South Carolina of all teams is completely unacceptable.

South Carolina has an all time winning record vs Kentucky.

This is how it usually is

You say that, but as a point of reference, SC hasn't had a team this talented since Spurrier's teams of the early 2010's (based on the 24/7 talent composite). Beamer has quietly recruited really well at SC and used the portal very effectively.

It was a complete embarrassment of a game. The overall theme of Stoops time, and particularly the last 3 years has been losing to teams you shouldn't lose to. It's time for Sumrall.

Exactly. Looking like that against Georgia or Alabama would be bad. I've never seen our OL look that pitiful even during the Bill Curry years (Born in 83 so thats the earliest era I actually remember being at games.) But sorry arse South Carolina? Totally unacceptable for this football program.

Curious to see the LSU - SC game. Doesn't LSU supposed to have the best pass protection O line in the country? Stewart might not have it so easy against them.

That's what they say. Strength against strength.

I mean this is a fact. I generally expect a win against Kentucky.

Curious to see what happens. My guess is LSUs tackles keep him under control but if he has a good game against them he might be crazy good. I think those straight ahead moves he did on KY won't be that effective and they will keep him just wide enough when he speed rushes to give the QB a little time.

Hilarious that Aggy fans think they’re above anyone. And then they end up with Mike Elko and are excited about it simply because he was their DC for a couple years lmao. They’re a joke of a program and fanbase

Yeah, how dare we have an opinion on who the next coach should be, we should just be thankful and take any old bum off the street!

What a dumb take.

He was very obviously trying to get out of Lexington when the A&M job and he had it until their fanbase revolted Tennessee style. It’s hard to come back and win your team over after that.

This is spot on, except it wasn’t just the general fanbase, big money donors weren’t really on board either. Not sure where Bjork thought that hire was going but it obviously was a total mess and a big part of why we have a different AD now.

$9mil/year for 2 10 win seasons in 11 years and an overall losing record is absolutely insane. These salaries have become a complete joke

Pfffft. We're paying Jimbo $75M to sit on his arse.
