Florida might win this game with negative offensive yards.

Why does Nixon refuse to block, or even chip Clowney

The play was drawn up that way. Nixon blocks down, guard pulls to pick up Clowney, fake the hand off and let the RB pick up anyone coming off the edge...just so happened he went low on Clowney when the pulling guard was also picking him up.

Chop block on their best player isn't dirty? I thought most chop blocks are inherently dirty...they can end careers

That wasn't designed or predetermined to be a chop. The Running back saw Clowney coming off the edge and reacted...it was the wrong play but that's how it happens sometimes. Yes, Florida has it's fair share of dirty plays in it's history but that wasn't one of them.

That explains why you're not at the game?

Must be a shitty life to lie on a message board

Welcome to CBS. Verne and Gary are going to jizz any time Bama or Florida get a first down.

I thought that was an accidental chop block myself. Didnt look like one guy saw the other and by the time he did was commited and couldnt pull up.

I could be wrong though.

He can't. When a guard pulls a well trained DT will ride him down the line and blow up the play. The OT doesn't have the luxury of stepping out to chip then step back inside to seal off the tackle. Clowney is just a disruptive player; chip him and the Defensive tackle blows up your QB, don't chip him and Clowney comes off the corner to disrupt the play.

I'm confused by that play. Did USC think it was offsides?
