damn its like they think the BIG10 has been winning the Natty every year. If we could only be as good as that 5 loss Wisky team we might have a chance.

sounds like something ND fans would say, not surprised.
The one I take most disgust with though, is the "No WR's better than Eifert."
Just...what.

Just. Wow. There is delusion, and then there's ND fans. They have NO idea what's coming for them.

Yep. They're going to be getting alot of praise and love from the national media now too. Especially the northern and northeast. By the time the game rolls around, Bama will have been lucky to have beaten the likes of Western Carolina and ND will have already won.

Very few of those comments are "delusion". Putting ND has bigger and stronger LBs than UGA is not delusion. Putting that ND has a much better run D than UGA is not delusion. Putting that if we control Bama's running game and limit turnovers (much easier said than done, of course) we can win the game is not delusion.

This whole paragraph proves how delusional they are.
Ball isn't faster than Lacy, and if he is it isn't by much.
And Bama's OL is the best in the nation, and number two isn't close.
The biggest mistake opposing fans make is trying to compare how big their defensive linemen and linebackers are when facing the Alabama offensive line.
The Alabama offensive line along with TE Williams is great because they execute very well. They fit their gaps, direct the blocks, and hit the second level on point within a machine like movement. I do not care how much you weigh or how strong you are. A 303 lbs man shielding you off long enough for a running back to make a cut does not take a huge amount of strength. He just simply has to hit that point or gap just right at that specific time prevent you from engaging the ball carrier.

I'm from near Columbus, grew up a huge OSU fan, joined the site in HS before the 07 NCG to talk OSU/LSU. Junior at ND now and (obviously) big Irish fan. Don't really care too much about the Bucks anymore, though I'd rather them win than lose, I guess.

ND LB starters:
Ishaq Williams (is he a starter???) 6'5" 255lb
Dan Fox 6'3" 240lb
Manti Te'o 6'2" 255lb
Prince Shembo 6'2" 250lb
(taken from LINK )
UGA LB starters:
Jordan Jenkins 6'3" 257lb
Jarvis Jones 6'3" 241lb
Alec Ogletree 6'3" 236lb
Amarlo Herrera 6'2" 231lb
UGA's defense is about the same length, but a bit lighter than ND's. If they look small to you guys though, that implies the OTHER players on the field are larger than you are used to...unless your fans are capable of seeing a ten pound difference in a LB wearing full pads.

Notre Dame has a great team, no doubt. But the Georgia LB corp is outstanding with Jenkins, Jones and Ogletree. And Bama still rolled up 350+ yards rushing. Size only one factor. Bama's defense is awesome, and their OL is probably the best in the country. They are almost clinical in how they approach a game and exploit their opponent's weaknesses. And to say Notre Dame has a coaching advantage? OK.
I wish ND luck, I think they'll need it.

Fans are by nature biased. Hell, I'm biased too. But, with that said the talent disparity between the SEC schools especially the top tier SEC schools and a school like Notre Dame is real. Having heavier LBs benefits Notre Dame when you're playing against much less explosive and non-vertical offenses. And, please don't try to compare USC's or Oklahoma's offense to an offense like UGA, A&M, LSU, or Bama. Those four schools would bludgeon USC or Oklahoma.

This is my favorite time of year. When LSU fans and Alabama fans and many fans of the SEC can agree with one another. These Notre Dame fans better be scared of the Alabama offensive line. That running game yesterday was devastating. Good luck Bama.

Has some of those turdbaskets been eating rotten lucky charms? When they laying prone on the ground at Sun Life Stadium...maybe reality will kick in. Jesus...please beat them to a pulp and hang 50 on their azz.

Couldn't agree more. ND doesn't understand what's coming for them. Hope they're ready.

Has Brian Kelly ever coached in a BCS game? I feel like the year his Cincinatti team made one, he left for ND before the game.

You have ND fans talking about their defense but did they not hear repeatedly how stacked the UGA defense is with future NFL players?! UGA probably has 2-3 guys on that defense that will go in the first two rounds of the next NFL draft and that's no exaggeration.

Reading all of those quotes makes me think only one thing.
Notre Dame's fanbase is CLEARLY one that hasn;t had their team do shite in 20 years

UGA has the 79th rushing defense in the nation. ND has the fourth. Maybe it's not because of size, since it is only one factor, as you said. Maybe it's scheme. Maybe it's ND's tackling, or the player's instincts or a combination of all of this. IDK what it is, but there is no doubt ND's rush defense is not only better than UGA's, it is much, much better. There's really nothing to argue otherwise.

For ND, Te'o will go top-10, possibly top-five this year. Tuitt has a good shot at top-10 when he's eligible next year if he leaves. Nix will likely go top-20 whenever he enters.
ND has tons of talent in the front seven, more than UGA.
