If we sent anyone packing, which we won’t, it would be Mizzou.

We forget they’re even in the SEC most of the time. They really wanted that Big10 invite way back when.

There are reasons that Aggie jokes exist. You are an illustration of one of the reasons.

The only sports ESPN is interested in are football and basketball.

No reason to keep aggie then, or for any other sport for that matter.

Hell, they ducked out of a bowl game that would have brought us all some revenue.

Bunch of dead beats. Kick them to the curb with the quickness…..

I'd rather send A&M packing.

Now that we have Texas coming, I see no value keeping a&m.

ESPN told the league who to expand with and how much it would be worth.
really?

then why did their addition (TX & OK)not add dollars to the SEC TV deal?

ESPN/Disney has already demonstrated that they can’t pony up more cash even after adding 2 of the most respected programs in college football - they don’t have the means to force the SEC to drop anybody

Vandy is actually very good in the other sports.
How can you recruit high level football players when they see that crappy high school stadium?
Vandy actually has enough fans that could fill a 60.000 seat stadium but the administrators there don’t care about football.
Besides they get the same paycheck the rest of get.
Most Vandy fans are just embarrassed over the stadium.
I went last year and UT Martin basically has just as good of a stadium.

Y’all need to quit repeating this stupid statement. That means absolutely nothing when these decisions are being driven by tv execs and money.

Vandy's endowment was $10.9 billion in the 2019-20 FY; second only to A&M's $13.6 billion. Of course, they did that with 1/5th the enrollment during the same time frame (13,710 as opposed to 74,014).

As far as their athletics are concerned, they have a more recent national championship than A&M (Baseball, 2019 vs Indoor Track & Field, 2017) and have two national championships in one of the big 3 sports (Baseball), something that Texas A&M has never accomplished.

Vanderbilt brings more academic prestige, athletic prestige (more titles in the biggest collegiate spotlight), and a stronger endowment in relation to student body size than Texas A&M does.

Sounds like A&M needs to go, especially considering how superfluous they're about to become.

Vandy isn't going anywhere OP. They are a cherished member institution.

Nobody can be kicked out unless they refuse to field a team in football or basketball. That's per the bylaws. You can't just kick out a conference member in the SEC.

why do the fans get hardons for the money? it never finds its way into your hands, and mostly just causes inflation in coaching salaries and admin costs.

Plus we all have to bear the costs--more merchandise shoved down our throats, more ads.

I'm sick of Idiocracy coming true. "Brought to you by Carl's Jr. F--- you."

Vandy has had more success (nation championships) in big 3 sports (baseball) than a majority in the conference since 2000

Interesting thought. It would not surprise me if leagues did this.

Vanderbilt would likely get the ax if this were to happen. I know some say we need a private University because of their ability to work in private while public schools have to report this. So if we had to have a private University, why not trade Vanderbilt for Duke? This 100% would also get us UNC.

I would say it would be better to take Texas A&M out instead of Vandy.

Screw charter. Take that and a dollar and get coffee. When did keeping commitments start meaning anything in this league?
