Solutions to correct horrible officiating

First let me say I'm a SC Carolina Gamecock fan. The 40 yard hold the Florida wr used against the SC db that was preceded on the exact same play by an obvious false start and ended in a td was either due to the refs being blind, truly inept, a combination of both, or a blatant bias by the refs geared towards the blue bloods of the league. The in your face pick play for a touchdown was just as bad if not more so a few plays later. And the timing of it all makes it even more suspect. 4th qtr. As a die hard Gamecock fan I've suffered for years with losses to better teams and many to worse teams too. But at least those were mostly due to SC being outclassed in talent and coaching. I can't help but feel that yesterday was a premeditated and conveniently timed screwjob. I'm sure many of the teams that arent bluebloods can relate. Missed called are one thing and I can understand them. Refs are human. But blatant favoritism is human too and I truly feel that some of yesterday's games displayed that perfectly. Call me a conspiracy theorist, a sore loser, or even a crybaby if you want but damn it man. Something needs to be done. I think a solution would be having an unbiased, 3 person non conference affiliated eye in the sky ref crew flagging the blatant critical no calls on the field could be done so swiftly and considerably even the playing field withot slowing gameplay. And eliminate fan discontent too quite a bit. What solutions would you like to see enacted?

Must be nice to embrace and foster corruption. Shows how flawed bama is and should have asterisks on all their championships for the last 20 years. They are mud sucking bottom feeders... but what would you expect from an inbred insecure U.

Why the hell does LSU and UGA get shite calls then

the league won't admit that the refs are calling or miscalling bad games. they continually support them so there isn't any solution.
it seems there are 2 main causes for bias - protecting future big matcvhups and covering point spreads are preventing same.
SC got screwed against florida to protect the ga/fla game. tennrc got screwed to protect the game with ala/lsu. it's always about money.
oh, and they protect alabama to protect the leagues's chances to win a NC. I didn't notice a big bias in the alabama / ga championship game because an undefeated Georgia would've been fine to rep the league.
it's sad.

The name calling in here is so mature.

Tuscaloosa is correct.
If you don't like it, don't watch it.
I watch the SEC now with the same approach when I watched WWE or the NBA 20+ years ago.
It is harder to quit watching SEC football due to my ties with my alma mater, so you learn to accept it for what it is.
My favorite part now is having Matt Austin come on the TV to tell you what you saw wasn't real.
That is only going to make things worse, and wake up more fans.

LSU and Georgia only get fake calls against Bama and Florida. Jesus protects UF.

The shitty officiating has been called out many times and by those with no dog in the fight.
LINK
It is getting worse, and the SEC doesn't care. They will do what it takes to get the Gumps into the playoffs. They do NOT care about integrity... and the Gumps are fine with not having to earn "it".

That’s kinda true. The double non targeting “targeting” that directly led to us losing to vandy was BS

When the hell did LSU and UGA become blue bloods?

I claim the SC, the Carolina, and the Gamecock.

You have to chalk that to Vandy outsmarting the refs

I think there should be a national collegiate officials association ( run by NCAA??)
But conferences should not employee or be in charge of their officials in any sport.

Your got hosed for sure and it was bias. As a LSU fan, it benefited our team to have FU win BUT not with corrupt officiating.
I have lost the passion I had for football in general a couple years ago for this very reason. Corrupt or inept officiating is rewarded. Look at the SEC! Matt Austin (aka Humpty Dumpty) has been promoted?? For what?? Doing what the league paid him to do; call the way THEY wanted. Before him it was Bug Eyes.
Last week against LSU, the refs never saw the holds by FU. But they sure see them when committed against them. I think there should be a national team of refs. The crew assigned to a game should not have a vested interest in the outcome. And if they make or miss blatantly obvious calls there should be penalties on a graduated scale. It should include loss of pay, suspensions, demotions and firings.

I'm thinking it's more about ineptness than bias. Most of the crews seem lost out there sometimes. It seems to me that if they are having such a hard time grasping it they should just simplify things down to something they can. With all the complaining about it going on, not just in here either, it's obvious they are not doing the sport any favors by ignoring it.

It is kind of weird that the same head refs have been in the league forever. You have baldy that is jacked on steroids and then the freckled black guy. One of the 2 is gonna be the head ref against state 95 percent of the time
