What?! I feel sorry for you and for your football program. Drinkwitz is happy to be the Missouri HC. He could have left for a top football program but he chose not to. Why leave when he is winning football games and is happy.

Who offered him?

So far no one. He said he is happy where he is at. Are you saying he isn't a good football HC? You are out of your mind.
There was an article about current HCs that would be a hot commodity for top football programs to hire away from their current football team. Drinkwitz was one of those HCs on the list.

Average, not desirable to other programs. Congratulations, don’t give him a raise over concerns other programs will pursue him.

You did notice they only gave assistants a raise.

Arkansas isn’t poor and they actually have good fan support that makes investment sustainable. Fayetnam is also an actually difficult place to play especially compared to those Texas highschool stadiums

SMU maybe. No chance in sustained sucess in Arky now(sorry but it is true)..SMU you have insanely rich boosters(which Arkansas clearly has but has not helped them much in the modern era)and a much easier schedule.

Drinkwitz didn't want the raise and wanted the raise to go to his assistants. Drinkwitz is earning plenty of money. No need to get greedy and offered the raise to his assistants which is the right way to do to help them.
I do feel sorry for you.

Hahahaha. No need dude, drink wasn’t getting any more money. I doubt it was his decision. Show me where it wasn’t.

He has nowhere else to go. No one is overpaying him 9 million bucks but you….damn…

That's true, Drinkwitz makes as much as Kiffin and Kiffin is far better.

You can have sustained success at Arkansas.

They just need smarter people than the dummies they currently have.

You guys will probably make the Liberty or Independence bowl this year. Keep your head up.

Have you ever been to Lubbock? That alone makes Arkansas a better job. SMU is the most expensive school in Texas with no fan base and not even a full complement of sports. Just some really rich guys trying to buy relevance for their football team. Texas Tech has a fracking billionaire who has given them a blank check, trying to buy relevance as well.

How long has Drinkwitz been a HC?
How long has Kiffin been a HC?
Kiffin been a HC a lot longer than Drinkwitz.

I don't like to see SEC members shirk their responsibilities. Arkansas is resting on their laurels and the fact they depend on Texas recruits just doesn't look good for their future. In their recruiting grounds they are already behind Texas, A&M, and Oklahoma. Now they are behind SMU and Texas Tech too.

And people want VA Tech. They would be Arky, or worse

We're lowering our expectations and shooting for the Music City Bowl on a Monday afternoon in December. #dreamseason #playoffsleepers

This is only about football. Both SMU and Texas Tech appear to be more financially committed to winning than Arkansas.

The Razorbacks chose badly after Petrino. How good did that job look in 2012? It takes a great AD and coach to bring it altogether. Bad Boosters have destroyed football programs for many decades. Tennessee was chewing off its leg for over a decade. The barn has looked like a house of cards since they sent Gus packing.

It has been my observation that all this can change as quickly as it went bad. But the right people have to walk through that door, or it's going to be a long walk through the wilderness until they do.

I don’t think it’s cause for adding them but I think you’re wrong about vt. they have better recruiting grounds and less competition in their recruiting area than arky has. The tidewater region is full of talent and the closest recruiting power to that area is Penn state. Slap a sec logo on the field and watch them go back to dominating tidewater recruiting. I think vt would be solid in the sec.

This is it exactly. There is a faction of boosters that have railroad every football hire since getting Jeff Long fired in favor of Malzahn.

I call them the Order of the Benevolent Booger. Or OBB for short.

Bielema was all on Long but the shite show after that is all the OBB. Turned down a number of guys for Morris and then again for Pittman.
