So with the Pavia ruling, JUCO years mean nothing towards eligibility.

He's going to beat Hugh Freeze again.

So he just identified path. Go to juco, improve your game and let bidding begin. Path for non nfl folks to put away a good chunk of change, invest it and retire at a very early age.

If this ruling stands, maybe it leads to the throwing out of all eligibility requirements. Perhaps someone will bring a lawsuit saying that having to attend school to play college football is in violation of antitrust statutes because it prevents non-scholar athletes from earning a living playing football.

Yes but I guess JUCO years don’t count now. College is an alternative to CFL for those who won’t make an NFL roster.

frick it, let's just kill college sports and get it over with. No sense in continuing the slow death.

really went out on a limb for that one. and I say that as an AU fan.
unless something changes, I think any and all teams have a shot to beat us -

Folks will still watch until there is something else to fill a fall Saturday. I did find myself less invested in my team this year. A lot of new faces that I just had no interest in following or researching. What’s the point with free agency every few months.

Bennett has another year then.

Checking our schedule….hmmmm
I’m happy for him, he really enjoys playing the game and is fun to watch.
He probably won’t play again after next season and has made a difference in the conference, feel good story I guess but I don’t blame him for playing as long as he can. This is the least aggravating story I’ve seen.

Olympics was intended to be amateur athletics. Over time some nations decided to manipulate the rules and pay athletes. We now have nba and nhl players in the Olympics. No more “Do you believe in miracles” teams. Olympics was must watch tv. Latest Olympics was if I had time or nothing better to do. College football is heading down a similar path.
