I mean, it has to be at least in consideration at this stage right?

Realistically it's P3 now.

Big 12 and Pac 12 are closer to G5 conferences. Oregon does have nice cheerleaders though

Big 12 should not get the benefit of being a P5 conference anymore.

Pac 12 is on their heels, but Oregon wins enough big games on big stages to keep them alive for now. USC, UCLA, and Washington better get back on their feet soon though, or the Pac will be the next one downgraded.

Where was this question last year when UGA was getting pummeled by Texass?

I'd kick out the ACC before the PAC 12.

PAC 12 has a winning bowl record this year 4-3.
Big 12 record is 1-4, about to be 1-5.
ACC is at 4-5. But I think BC and Clemson will lose. That would make their record 4-7.

Relegation should be a thing. Both for conferences and the schools within the conferences.

Exactly. Where would Utah or Oregon finish if either was in the SEC west? 4th? 5th, maybe? They'd go from conference co-champions or whatever they are to "eh, they're kinda good I guess"

I hate to give the Big 10 respect but they are the only other conference that plays high major college football consistently. It’s not quite at the SEC level because of geography but it’s a good conference. It’s also the best conference in basketball. All things considered there is a significant drop off after those two conferences and the rest of the P5 crowd.

The ACC is just janky af. It’s turning into the old Big East conference with tier 1 basketball and tier 1.5 football.

ABSOLUTELY

Unfortunately there are are sports outside of football that kind of ruin this idea

The Big 12 had a better bowl record than the SEC the 3 years prior to this one, including 6-3 advantage head-to-head over that span.

Stop bowl games don't mean shite anymore, and it goes both ways. Hell UGA is playing their second string tonight. Using bowl games as any standard outside of the playoffs is purely senseless.
