What interested to hear the mental gymnastics.

Of course, LSU could lose any of those games but it isn't like any of those teams have looked any better than LSU.

Yeah, the poster you responded to is pretty uninformed. That matchup is between two really solid units. Would be surprised if it’s not a really competitive game. I really think it comes down to how well Weigman plays. If he’s really good I think it will be tough for LSU to win.

I agree with this.

That’s done them a lot of good

I will be astonished if we win. LSU has looked better and better each week, particularly their defense,

I wouldn't be. I'm very pleased with our defense. I'm happy with how Nussmeier is playing, but he's still growing, and our run game isn't reliable.

Because beating Arkansas was an improvement? Doesn't matter. You will lose to A&M and Bama. Probably drop one to Florida or OU

Lol @ this salty arse little poser and his Fraudhorns.

Not SEC ready and probably never will be.

This game will be close. There are a couple weak links in our secondary, but our up front talent and Elko schemes and game plan make up for a lot of it.

On O, we're coming along. Weigman has GOT to avoid INTs. I think our O is capable of keeping LSU off balance as the blocking is solid and the receivers have come along nicely, especially if freshman Bussey is back in lineup.

We have a real chance of controlling the clock somewhat. We should be focused after survivin Miss St.

I think A&M is a team that needs to be doubted to play its best

Favored b/c of home field advantage (-3). Tells everyone these teams are evenly matched.

If LSU's defense and Nussmeier keep playing like they have the last 2 weeks, they're arguably the best team in the conference right now. Between them and Miss State, they seem to be the only two teams in the SEC that are getting better and better every single week and don't really regress from time to time like the rest of us.

It'll be a battle, but ultimately I see LSU winning in a close one. They came to Fayetteville with a rocking stadium and fired up crowd and tuned all that out real quick. They made a point to take the fans out of the game and they completely accomplished that

Haven't you guys only allowed 2 sacks through 7 games, including against Ole Miss' and SCar's DLines?

Running the ball is different, especially with any back not named Durham. And it’s hard to be certain how close he is to 100% right now.

Would anyone be the slightest bit surprised if either team won by 10 points?

Nope. Two improving teams that have flaws suddenly in the SEC spotlight after others have stumbled. This one could be a little crazy.

Chaos is much more fun than knowing which 4 are going to make the playoff around week 6-8. I heard it’s first time since like 1964 since Army and Navy were both ranked. Indiana is wildin out. Vandy breaking in. Iowa St trying to make a case. BYU knocking team off every week. Chaos

The new playoff format changes things, but this season seems as close to 2007 as any we’ve seen since. There isn’t one dominant team. Oregon looked rough to start the season and they beat OSU. UGA has a Jeckyl and Hyde loss to Bama and then beats UT handily on the road. Bama already has two losses. Who knows what Miami can do against a good opponent and same for Clemson now that their offense is on track.

Run Offense: Atrocious

Early in the season, absolutely. Once Durham emerged, that changed a little. He’s the only back that fits our scheme since Emery went down.

But that pop only lasted for three games. Durham wasn’t close to 100% vs OM and still wasn’t quite there last night. He did have the most snaps by far, but he will have to play an even bigger role for the run game to work next week.

It’s all about match ups. A&M’s defensive line is really good and LSU’s OL is really good. Whoever wins that battle will win the game.

No team has ever made substantial improvement between game one and the end of the season. Not one. Ever.

He’s a casual who doesn’t know shite. Since that game, Zy has returned and played his best football. Perkins going down opened the door for Weeks to play a ton and he has stepped up in a big way. We are playing several true freshmen, some of who have really stepped up into big roles. Durham and now Green are big examples.

None of this happened until 3-4 games ago. This is a very different team than it was in week one.

ATX is a longhorn, the only one in the discussion that is all negative.

I think LSU wins if Durham is indeed 100%. IDK if he really was 100% Saturday. He looked a half step slower. But, if he is AND,

LSU solves the pre-snap penalty issues, Then LSU's chances increase quite a bit.

And the other way too... LSU DL vs Aggie OL. Basically, if we can't get to Weigman and rattle him we'll have to score a lot to win.

I would not be shocked at a loss, winning on the road is hard.
