So UGA fans, tell me about Glenn Schumann. Might be our next DC.

Has landed some big time recruits for you guys apparently.
And can coach up the LBs since that’s our weakest trait.

Reports say LSU has contacted him.

That hasn’t worked out for us so far. Maybe the 47th time is a charm.

Responsible for Roquan Smith’s development.

Tae Crowder was a 2-star WR who came in under Richt. He was about to transfer, but Kirby asked if he would switch to LB his Junior year. Started in his 5th year and was the last pick of the NFL draft. Starts for the Giants as a rookie.

Can’t say enough about him. I’m amazed we’ve held on to him for this long.

Do tell? I wonder who “reported” this...is it the same people in other three iterations?

I wonder who “contacted” him.. ponamsky?

I wonder if a courtesy call was given Kirby? I wonder how long he will string LSU out before accepting a pay raise from Kirby?

I wonder why LSUers run to this board breathless with excitement about every little twist in their pedestrian saga?

Referring to op title. Lots of Pomansky-bot smoke including a ridiculous post claiming Schumann was always the first choice.

But until something more concrete develops, I personally would hold the expectations and questions... but then again this hire is potentially a bigger deal than three ex NFL coaches going to Tuscaloosa with nary a single worried Alabama fan melt.

How is it any different from people running to the board to post that second and third string players are transferring from LSU?

well, his Dad, who played for Alabama and was a career coach, sent him to Alabama, where Glenn was a coaching assistant to Nick Saban and later a GA. In fact he was essentially Saban's right hand man.

When he gets sufficiently experience he will be back to Alabama in some capacity. If Golding doesn't continue to improve, Schumann may be the next DC if he's ready.

UGA and/or LSU needs to train him well. And thanks.

Damn Jack,
Why are you bammers so angry*

Y’all just won a championship (albeit fake and illegitimate but doesn’t matter to y’all)*

And all y’all do is post negative comments about LSU all day long and everyday since you beat OSU*

Chill out*
Sit back*
Relax*
Enjoy your fake/illegitimate championship *

Yep. The only one who didn’t accept was Freeman. Turns out we didn’t even offer Arnett or whatever his name is. And Nielsen agreed to it from reports. Just Saints wouldn’t let it happen.

If we want Schumann, I think LSU gets em. Can’t stay a UGA forever.

Not sure if Jack is an alter troll or a miserable, ill informed old man.

Also not sure which is worse.

I didn't get the Nielsen thing. I thought it was just another hire that Orgeron was comfortable with. But, I guess he's pretty good if the Saints wanted to keep him that bad. I prefer someone with more experience actually being a coordinator.

It’s funny because the question was asked to UGA fans. And yet one of the first responses is from a Bammer. Can’t say I’m surprised.

Same but Payton says he'll be an NFL head coach soon so apparently they really like him.
