I remember Arkansas fans claiming they were going to dominate the SEC with that guy

I mean, two Elite 8s and a Sweet 16. That’s more than most of the SEC has accomplished in their entire program history.

The prince of the portal. RIP.

Just to see the Bammers cry and return to irrelevance. I know Auburnites would love that.

IMO going from Arkansas to coach basketball at USC seems like a step back, program wise...

It’s is. No doubt about it. We were told though when he got the job that USC and UCLA were the two job to worry about if they open because he calls Cali home. That was the word five years ago and turns out that was correct.

Zero final 4, zero SEC titles, zero SEC tournament titles

I hate Alabama and want you to lose in the final four. Go Uconn sincerely,

As said, it is. But while he's a Cali guy, it seemed obvious there were some internal issues this season and I strongly suspect that this will end up being a net gain for Arkansas.

As long as we don't hire a turd.

He was probably having issues with his boss and many influential individuals. He was hard to get along with and supposedly hard to work under.

He wouldn't be leaving had he made the NCAA tournament.

He needed to leave before he had another potential losing season which could cool his name and put himself in a situation for worse jobs.

I guess he grew up in Minneapolis, San Diego and went to high school in suburban Cleveland.
I get the impression that a lot of guys take those LA college jobs because they think it will be easy to recruit to those programs and there is considerable talent available in the area.
Coach after coach goes out there and underachieves given those perceptions.
I figure Muss will be the next in a long line of those guys. Just seems inevietable.
