I’d rather win the SEC than be #1 in week 3. So we’ll see how things finish.
As for Aggies, their one glory period was mid-late 80’s under slimebag Jackie Sherrill and early 90’s under RC Slocum (great man and coach). It all came tumbling town when Mack Brown came to Austin and they’ve been mediocre ever since, regardless of conference.
In other words, what you’ve seen from them so far in SEC is pretty much how they were in Big 12.
As to your question of “why” I really have no idea. Huge school, fan base, booster club. Same recruiting grounds and high school system to draw from. Extremely mediocre results. Really can’t say why other than maybe poor management/hires/decisionmaking.

You guys are like 8th in conference standings lol. Maybe don’t ask the league to give you your cupcakes upfront to pad the stats. Bc it’s NC or bust according to you guys.

Back to top it is also funny because texas had been no good either since a&m joined the sec until last season. texas's rise couldn't have better timing
Not untrue but it had zero to do with Aggie and more to do with OU and bad coaching hires post- Mack Brown.
I mean Missouri did more in the Big 12 than A&M did.
Texas was solid from 1996-2009 or so but started going into the weeds pretty much after that loss to Bama in Rose Bowl.

So Texas #1 in first year in SEC while AM never been close in 13 years
Funny coming from OM fan. But you can always claim 1959.

WTH are you talking about? It was your AD that wouldn’t schedule Texas for years and then it was your AD that begged the SEC to schedule Texas as a home game for you this year. Google it.
And who is A&M playing this year? You were ranked 47th on the list of toughest schedules (preseason)! For non-conf you’re playing McNeese State, Bowling Green, New Mexico St, and a team that got rolled by NIU at home! Well done.

We finished #4 our first year in the SEC.
Not sure what’s funnier: the need to lie in order to make yourself feel less inadequate, or the meltdown you’re having in every thread about the longhorns’ ranking (that you’ll never see A&M at in your entire life)

They have played NO games yet. Michigan is trash, and the others, please. This is what makes uterus sickening as hell
Who is 3-0 against a better schedule?

Meanwhile you lost to NIU’s bitch in your own home stadium

it is a lot better than being 0-3

We're waiting to upset them at Kyle field and crush their hopes and dreams. It's all part of the plan, believe in it.

Find a different way to bash the Aggies than dickriding the horns. What the fricks wrong with you!

Even worse, we're 14th in conference alphabetical order.

Alabama best in SEC, first alphabetically. Vanderbilt worst in SEC, last alphabetically.
Lazy writing, truly.

Why is this
Timing...Texas was hot garbage for the majority of the past 15 years and really the whole 21st century outside of 3-4 season. Also luckily drew one of the easiest schedules in the league in year 1.

Latest mock drafts have Michigan with multiple first round picks, and Texas completely and totally dominated them from the first whistle (on their own home field)
Kudos for trying to prop up Houston though after your team almost lost to them at home
