Also Carolina tix are still available, so I'm not sure why they would've returned the uga tix already.

& For the record, I'm sure it was more than a 3 day period. But, don't act like it was much more than that.

I literally got the email on Friday

Are you a season ticket holder? What level of donation?

I often get similar emails from the Bama ticket office...at this same point in the summer...for opportunities to buy tickets to games like @Arkansas and home games vs. Sun Belt or FCS teams.

I have never, fricking, ever, gotten an email offer to buy tickets @UT, @LSU, or @Florida. This is my 8th season to have season tickets. After 8 years I still don't have enough points to get an offer with the initial order form that goes out, and there are never any tickets to those games left after the initial offering.

The fact that you even got an email at all, and at this late date, is probably an indication that the Vol ticket office couldn't sell them to season ticket holders of a higher level who in the past would have bought them.

Vol fans can try to spin this all day long, but if they sent tickets back to Georgia, it's an utter embarrassment.

Why would UT have to return their allotment already? It doesn't make any sense. UF won't sell the other schools allotment until the week of the game.

They didn't have to. But they did, so we're selling them (and at $80 a pop, too. Jesus UTK, overcharge for your tickets much?)

And UTk season ticket holders will have had plenty of opportunity to put in for these tickets. I'm assuming that after the announcement to purchase the away tickets went out last Friday, the response was so minimal that UTK's AD opted to just send them back.

Good news for S. Carolina fans, though, isn't it vol fans?

never fail to see you post in a thread that has anything to do with tennessee. we get it. you're an alabama fan and surrounded by tn fans daily, so you hate tn. but let's not pretend like it's unusual for ticket sales to decline when a team hasn't won anything in years. tennessee is no different than any other school. schools sell tickets when they're winning and don't when they're losing, not to mention football attendance has been declining every year all over the country. stop acting like alabama or anyone else would be selling tickets in droves if they'd been through what tennessee has since 2008.

What the hell's your point? You "get it"? You obviously don't get shite. It's a message board where fans talk smack at rival fan bases, among other things. Why the hell do some Auburn fans post in any thread about Alabama? And vice versa. Or why some LSU fans post in every thread about Alabama, and vice versa. And all the other rival fan bases in the conference.

And yeah, it would be extremely unusual for teams like Alabama or LSU to return tickets to a big rivalry game, evem in a down year. What does the 19 stand for...your age?

Yeah, sure whatever. My guess is most decided to make a trip to Norman and took off one of their normal SEC trips.

For you to even compare UTs last 5 years to the shitshow that was LSU in the 90s is hilarious. UT will never have a spell that bad
What? You have 4 straight losing seasons and 5 out of 6 losing seasons. That is just as bad or worse

i think people who constantly troll and flame in any and every thread concerning their rivals are pathetic, and that includes lsu fans that do it. it serves no purpose whatsoever and is generally irrational and over-exaggerated nonsense, the type stuff you'd expect to hear from a teenager or someone without an education. i'm pretty confident you fall into neither category, so i just find it sad.

considering lsu averaged less than 70k for home games in the early 90s when they were going through what tennessee has been, dipping as low as 60k in 1993 (capacity was 82k then), nah not really.

oooooooooo, no it's not. again, sad you feel the need to resort to ad hominem remarks that aren't even remotely clever to try to make a point.

I forgot, you think football started in 2000. Take a seat.

What a failure this thread is

I already said our 90s suck. I am laughing that you think you will "never be close to that bad" when this is your last 6 years:

5-7
7-6
6-7
5-7
5-7
5-7
to be continued....

I think most would say that is very similar no? Other fans besides LSU or UT want to chime in? Does this qualify as close to the same or is UT vastly superior here?

More wins, higher pct, but yeah it's close. But, we've never had a season with less than five wins, unlike yall.
