Sure they are. There are plenty of people in "essential"jobs that either go to work or don't pay rent and eat.

moron, the CDC is saying that we need to wear mask and keep our distance. Can football, basketball, baseball players do that? You idiots don't get it yet..........this is a plague affecting the entire world. Why force players to play..............and if you think these college players won't be forced to play, you are more dense than you come off already.

You are a moron. These kids are not in danger of this virus. If the adults (or kids) don’t feel safe they don’t have to coach or play. To say that they do is retarded. Go hide in your damn shelter and suck your thumb if you are that big of a pussy. Everyone else wants to live like normal human beings instead of hide from a virus that has a 99.5 % survival rate for anyone under the age of 60.

And there are plenty of people in “nonessential” jobs that won’t be eating because thousands of economies will crash if we don’t have sports in college towns.

That's their fault for having an economy tied to an AMATEUR SPORT in these College Towns

From way over here it seems like these Players are really important to their Communities, I mean real important

I'm guessing if they are that important to the LOCAL ECONOMY, then just maybe those in the Arena playing the Game deserve larger cash stipends to go along with their scholly.......

.... OR they can find something else to attach their local Economy to

Any group as important as what you described above deserve more than just a scholly

I don’t disagree with the players being able to capitalize off of their name and likeness at all. Let a car dealership pay them if they would like. A restaurant. A local store. Whatever. The ones who bring in that kind of money deserve it.

To say “that’s their fault they should not have tied their job to an economy based on nonessential sports” is stupid as shite. No one knew a pandemic was coming. What kind of idiotic logic is that? If that is the case, then all of these fatasses that have put their self at risk of dying from Covid should just get over it because I didn’t force them to cram McDonald’s down their throats every day.

Imbeciles like you are the reason this thing is breaking records daily.

Imbeciles like you are the reason that half the country is in panic mode because you are too damn stupid to read data to know that large amounts of cases from an age group that’s not being hospitalized and largely not even showing symptoms is a good thing. The death rate continues to plummet and you are too busy talking about case numbers of people that aren’t even sick.

To be fair the survival rate is 99.5 for all ages when you account for asymptomatic people. It’s like 99.9 for people under 60

dumb arse, people are taking up hospital beds and others, maybe covid related or some other health issue, can't get a bed. You are an absolute moron with your head stuck in the sand.

ETA our little podunk area of the Gulf coast had 115 two Friday's ago. Today it is 581. It is because of people like you "living their life" and having no regard for others.

this...
strip away all the 'pandemic' BS. what are we left with? fakenews and a culture war on steroids.

by the numbers, the majority of people are not protesting, they are not sick with the flu and ideally they just want everything to return to normal.

since January all this is a fabricated hoax by powerful people. em

if the football season is cancelled ideally every football fan should show up on opening day and have a tailgating protest at their stadium of choice, nationwide.

grill and chill.

stay healthy my friend.

No, it's not. It's the flu. Nothing more. As we go further along it is becoming more and more apparent. These death statistics are nowhere near actual numbers. There's been scores of stories reported of agencies fudging numbers.

The fact "pandemic" isn't getting the hysteria desired and now you've upped it to "plague" should tell anyone all they need to know.

Well they deserve even more than whatever that is dude!

How about that?

If they are the centerpieces of that many folks' livelihoods, then they deserve larger cash stipends to go along with their scholly

It really is simple, don't know why so many folks get emotional about this issue, about what MIGHT go in another man's pocket, when they clearly deserve the money based on their obvious Economic Impact
