What's your point? If you're talking about football players, it's not a very big sample if you extend it to 120 players per team 120x135 = 16,200 football players in FBS.

The collective deaths for their age group is very very small. So yes, good job figuring that out on your own.

I would think that the number of player infections will be about the same whether there is football or not. Cancel the season if you want, but they will still get infected. Someone explain to me again how cancelling the season is supposed to protect the players?

It's very good these young folks aren't dying.

I hope that none ever do.

I hope it won't kill any of ours because Malzahn is having human pyramid contests as "team building" exercises. Pretty sure he wants everyone antibody positive by August.

because the players are coached by a lot of high risk individuals who also have loved ones who are high risk.

There is a higher risk of them dying driving from their house to practice than there is of them dying of COVID. To say that people are stupid over this virus is putting it extremely mild.

Actually you are right but not about what you intend. Corona virus has not affected the death rate appreciably for any age group. The sick elderly were dying before the virus, they died during the early days of the virus and they are dying now. Not so much anyone else. That's the nature of life, ageing, living and dying.

I would assume there are a lot of high risk individuals in every line of business or is this exclusive to college football?

People that work at McDonald’s, Lowe’s, ACE, your local mechanic shop, etc have been going to work and exposed for this entire time but for some reason we are treating people with virtually no chance of dying with kid gloves. No one is forcing any high risk individual to go to work. They are free to sit out if they aren’t comfortable and let someone else coach. There will be a line 10 miles long waiting to take their spot.

Even if no players die, a player still won’t be able to play if they test positive (and particularly if they actually have symptoms). So if a team ends up with a dozen or more players sick at one time, that could really impact that team.

And you won't see one most likely...it's just as deadly as the flu. I don't hear much from people during flu season regarding players getting it. I want outrage over the flu in October you pansy asses.

If you noticed, there are about 3 or 4 pro-Covid bots that have infiltrated the Rant.

No one is forcing the high risk individuals to go to work. Why do you want to force people to not work? It’s none of yo ur business if a coach wants to continue to work even though he’s 60 and at a higher risk. If he is willing to do that then who the hell are you to tell him he can’t?
