Ok Rip Van Winkle, TN fans would be blowing Butch a midfield if he averaged 9 wins per year.

Uhhhhhhh........he won 9 games the past two years

Well he must had a bad year with injuries and so forth. I am assuming you want a coach that wins 10-12 games a season and if one season is bad then he is gone for good! Same thing just happened to Butch Jones and I know he did not win 10 games but, who will want to coach at Tennessee that having ONE bad season that will get the coach fired if it was due to key players having injuries?

I'm really surprised some of you are smart enough to even log in. Learn how to quote properly and educate yourself at least a little on a subject before you comment.

You’ll end up with some stained tooth assistant from Bama; and you will like it.

If you can get him, do so. There's worse you could do. DM is a good HC imo

I think a head coach should get 6-8-10 years before you think about yanking the chain on him.

He better get it too. I will quit watching if we go back to the Croom days

He will get one, but I've been saying all along the next big step for our program to take is with assistant coaching salaries. The key for 2018 will be keeping the coaching staff, particularly the defensive staff, in tact for next year. With what we have coming back the consistency and growth from year 1 to year 2 on defense will be the deciding factor as to whether we can compete for the west next year.

If you are just going to copy and paste from an article...at least post a link to the article as a common courtesy.

Bookmarked so I can point out that you are a fricking moron on a later date

The only morons here are the ones who believe Tennessee is still an elite football program.

I don't know any Tennessee fans that have him at the top of their list of candidates, so not sure what you're getting at

there is no one a current SEC coach is letting his name get out there before the season is over. I think this is pure speculation. Any contact your AD makes with a current HC would be considered tampering. Now getting to talk to their agent would be another thing. This article is poorly written as to how these names came to UT's attention.

Didn’t Mullen pay his own way for an interview at Miami 2 years ago? I also believe he’s interviewed for the Orgeron, Penn St, Michigan job. Not saying he wants to leave or anything.... lol.

No none of that is correct. I have a bridge for sell if you’re interested. It’s made of chocolate and leads to la la land where you can enjoy monkeys flying out of your butt all day.

That's funny coming from a Cock. Y'all are decent but y'all are no Georgia, Florida or Tennessee. Those three are the big time, name brand programs out of the East. The rest of y'all are fed crumbs.

Nebraska was a big time program too. Bigger actually but that aren’t anymore and won’t be again. Tennessee is the same.
