This is impressive and one of the reasons LSU is a tier 1 athletic program and simply commands respect.

Yes. I'm sure LSU fans will not be on here pumping the board with excuses for a loss

Just like they didn't do that all during the regular season......

Did you read the OP’s title?

It’s kind of expected when you’re fielding the scout team for a bowl.

Like you say. It's expected

So I'm sure we won't see a flood of excuses

Can’t speak for everyone else, but I just look forward to seeing a bunch of kids take the field in a game they’d never normally be playing.

The outcome is whatever it is. It has no bearing on the future.

frick the opt outs, frick all the bullshite about too many meaningless bowl games, frick taking the easy way out... LSU just going to man up and play with whoever the frick can suit up and wants to play the game.

That's how it should be.

Pretty much what Pittman said last year going into the LSU game. Gonna suit up and play with whoever is on the plane.

Aggies should take note....this is how you do it.

Much respect LSU.

better on Kansas State when they hand LSU their L.

You better hope they do. Because It will be a bad look for Kansas State if LSU wins so shorthanded. As far as us, it won't mean a ton if we win, LSU should never lose to Kansas State. If we lose, we just lost a game no one expects us to win it will soon be forgotten. personally I think the Tigers surprise us.

It’s only a “waste of time” because losers like TDP and Neil Farrell and all of the other opt outs who think they are too good for the Texas Bowl. News flash, you’re not. LSU is where they are because guys like them either:

a) aren’t good enough
b) are so lazy and incompetent in the classroom they weren’t eligible for the bowl
c) so addicted to drugs they were suspended for the game
d) had such crap attitudes the new coaching staff has already told them to take a hike

To our opponents in this thread as a LSU fan thanks for the respect. We might be enemies and fight but it doesn't mean we can't respect each other as opponents. I am proud that our boys are so eager to go play so shorthanded. Shows how much they really want to play. Shows that Kelly has a strong base to start rebuilding the team and we won't be down long at all.

There will be no excuses. In my mind the tigers by not being cowardly pussies unlike certain other programs have already won

Live game reps are valuable. For any of the players that are returning next year, these extra practices and live game experience is a huge plus going into spring, especially since we didn't get any bowl prep last year.

The big bonus here is that a ton of walk-on's will get in the game that would normally not get to sniff the field in a bowl. This isn't going to be ironman ball with low scholarship player counts, this will be a bunch of dudes trying their damndest to make an impression for the new coach, and give their families all something to cheer about. I'm happy for these guys that work their butts off all year to finally get some action and a chance to earn a letter jacket.
