What’s funny is Texas will bring ou. Their real rival. So aTm still won’t have an actual rival.
But I feel like aTms hate for Texas is so strong it’s beyond rival hate. Rivals have a little respect for each other in some fashion. In 2011 I hated Bama, but I respected them. And despite what they say, I know they respected us. I know their players did.

Not even close to true. Longhorn fans hate A&M in a magnitude greater than the Sooners. Not even close.

That’s kind of my point. OU and Texas hate each other but have some respect in some way for each other. That’s a true rival.
aTm just wants Texas to burn to the ground and vice versa. Not a true rival.

Actually, A&M and Texas alumni tend to have a lot of respect for each other. Both are great academic schools and all of us know each other. The problem is Texas has a ton of tshirt fans that are complete asshats. Their leadership is also evil and has no integrity.

You guys leaving started the beginning of the end for the big 12. Clearly. They could not sustain. Even with OU and Texas, they couldn’t maintain or attract new, good schools.

I agree with most of this, but both programs have a ton of asshats, especially on the internet. In real life, Texas Alumni all have friends & colleagues from the other side, and vice versa.
I said it a week or two ago on here.. I have NEVER met a Texas or Aggie Alum that doesn’t want the game to be played. That doesn’t mean that they don’t exist, but I haven’t ever met one.. and I always ask in hopes that one day I will find one.
