Fair enough. Thank you for the answer. Kinda what I thought.

That is a funny nickname for him though.

We needed a defensive minded coach to fix our defense and we got arguably the best in the country. His issues on offense at Florida are so overblown. He had bad luck finding a QB. It happens, even Spurrier had issues with that. Muschamp was left with Meyer's leftover garbage on offense which is why Meyer left. Urban knew his O players were terrible.

Driskel, Brissett, Murphy, Harris. I don't think Muschamp told them to go out there a be steaming piles hot garbage during the game. But that is what they were.

Yeah nevermind the fact that he had a 5 star Gatorade Player of the Year redshirt senior in 2011 and ran off Brissett/Driskel/Murphy to other programs where they were drafted.
If you think Muschamp doesn't have a problem developing QBs then I've got some oceanfront property in Nebraska to sell you.

Will wasn't their first choice. I am pretty sure they offered Rich Rod first but he turned them down. The USCe AD denies it, but the Arizona AD says it's true. They also interviewed Tom Herman. He woulda been a grandslam hire, but I don't know if he was offered or if he turned them down or what.

Not trolling here, but I think Muschamp will be fine if he gets a decent OC. Muschamp will always have a top notch D (has been in the top 10 almost every year as a DC or HC). He can coach the shite out of some D, but he just doesn't know jack about offense. I guess we'll see how Roper works out.

Rich Rod was given a courtesy interview because he asked for one and wanted to see the facilities. He was never offered the position, and we put ourselves in a position for he and his agent to embarrass us in the media with a lie.

I think Muschamp has a problem developing QBs. Just like Spurrier always had a huge problem developing LBs and Safeties....

well, if you are a 5 star QB you'd think you could come out of high school and hit the broad side of barn with football on passes 3 out of 5 times. But not really the case those guys.

Meh, judgement is still out on him. He's done everything right so far IMO, has a good staff and recruiting has really taken off for them. If they could make a bowl this season it'd be a success and a solid foundation

Lol, just stop.

Herman was never going to SCAR. Think logically for one fricking second. Why would he? He's in line for an elite job and he's going to take a bottom tier SEC job.

I just don't understand who you guys are so worried about saving face, even know.

Yes, he was. But, he may not have been there long if a job in Texas were to have come open.

In terms of recruiting, probably

However, right now we are rebuilding this team/program and very soon we'll be back on top in the East, like we've been for most of this decade

Damn, going to have to use this line. Gives all coaches passes.

Rich Rod was never offered. The way that was handled by Ray Tanner was embarrassing. Rich Rod is an a-hole.

I can think of 4 or 5 million reasons why he would have considered it.

Did he get a job offer at Texas or Texas A&M that I am forgetting about? Both teams seem to be looking good this year and could very well keep their coaches.

Also, why do you act like if he did come to SC and his dream job (Texas) came open that he would not be able to leave?

I like Will, he will be good for the SEC... I mean with Les and Gus on the cusp of being run out of town this season, we need someone to fill the void of the "crazy" looks and quirky actions...

"BOOM" definitely fits that bill to a T...

Why?

There is no logical explanation for it and I don't care what your AD says.
