Will these new equity owners get a 10% share of the proceeds from that deal? Or just future jersey deals?

I guess we'll have to find out what's actually going on first.

Yeah, this is just like the jersey patch discussion last summer.

All of these same things were said and now the rest of you are lining up to sign your patch deal.

Selling patches on jerseys is a little different than handing over 10% of indefinite earnings for a meager $100 million of immediate gratification. Ensuring your cash flow gets taxed at 10% indefinitely is retarded. But when you're so desparate that you'll literally rob a childrens hospital to keep your athletic department afloat, nothing suprises me anymore with LSU and this seems par for the course.

Sure, but the reaction by folks like you is basically the same and pretty soon your school will be doing the same.

Agreed.

This kind of comment indicates your level of delusion on the matter.

According to Ball, for all intents and purposes, LSU is attempting to borrow money from its donors, against a more lucrative, future media deal.

Even if they can't call it a loan per se.

I think the Securities and Exchange Commission is going to get involved in this.

I’m fairly wait and see with the concept, but I’m not sure how anyone can feel great about the death spiral college sports is heading into. If Jackie is right about the idea giving us the ability to buy who we want, other schools will emulate a similar model. Same retards on here that laughed when LSU reached an agreement with Woodside.

Yeah. OU is already looking into interested partners.

How so? Did an LSU Booster not take money from a Childrens Hospital?

Sure, the head of the OLOL Foundation was laundering money and stealing it for personal use, according to the FBI.

That's a far cry from

Isn’t this simply a bandaid? If they’re operating at an annual 8 figure deficit, $100,000,000 isn’t going to go very far, particularly when you consider that deficit will only be larger with this cutting future media-rights revenue

LSU has officially entered their "I can't keep up with my loan payments, maybe what I need is another loan to pay off some of my previous loans!" phase of their existence. Fitting for a program that is the equivalent of a trailer park.

Kalen has been holding a tin cup in the streets and your football recruiting class is AIDS. Every athletic department is having difficult conversations.

Good luck raising that 100 mill from your donors, poors

Sounds like a great deal for the investors. Probably something LSU will regret.

How far will LSU go in order to continue their spending sprees?

It sounds like you'd better hope to hell that Kiffin can win big in his first year on the job, because once the money in the bank is gone there's no more coming behind it. Cheers!

It’ll be so bad you’ll have to keep posting about LSU at 3 am for at least another decade
