POD A
Texas
Tex A&M
Missouri
Oklahoma

POD B
Bama
Auburn
Tennessee
Vandy

POD C ( Hell of a Baseball POD)
LSU
Arkansas
Ole Miss
Miss ST

POD D
Florida
Georgia
South Carolina
Kentucky

The only long standing True rivalry you give up is Auburn- Georgia ( Hate to lose it). But someone has to gone up something.

Wow, that is one seriously difficult schedule, good luck with that one.

Hypothetical, what if Auburn says we do a 3 team permanent where Bama's 3 are Auburn, TENN and say Miss. State and Auburn's 3 are Bama/UGA and say Miss. State.

If LSU's 3 are Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Florida, hypothetically, that would allow MSU be matched with Bama, Auburn and Ole Miss.

Under that scenario, all the traditional rival games are maintained and Bama does not have to choose between TENN or Auburn and Auburn does not have to choose between Bama and UGA.

But what if you go with your POD, A, B, and C, D and that is one of the proposals. Auburn says Bama if want a POD with TENN in it fine, we are going into a POD with UGA and Florida. Florida and UGA agree as Auburn and Florida played every year from like 1926 to 2007 I think. They have a long history with both UGA and Florida.

What then? My 3 permanent and 6 rotating teams years 1 and 2, then 6 new ones years 3 and 4, resolves all those issues.

Your POD system as you described it does not maintain the UGA/Auburn game. So not happening unless you go to a 3 POD plus 1 permanent cross over and you rotate the other teams (1 to 11).

This. Auburn/Georgia is the oldest and closest rivalry contest record in the SEC.
The simplest way to maintain all of the rivalries is with 2 divisions with Alabama and Auburn moving to the East and Missouri moving to the West along with OU and Texas.
Go to a 10 game SEC schedule if concerned about not playing the teams in the opposite division often enough.

I really have no idea, but I've heard some posters who claim to know, and are very confident, that it will be the following:

West:

A&M, LSU, MSU, Ole Miss, Mizzou, Ark, OU, tu

East:

Bama, Auburn, UK, UF, UGA, USCe, Vandy, UT

Gonna get real weird soon. The west will get so much easier if so. Maybe add Clemson and another Florida school to keep things balanced?

No need to do that break it to two divisions.
Southeastern Division
Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt

South Midwestern Division
LSU, Texas A&M, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Missouri

This is showing 4 top teams in both divisions. This is the most balance one so far! Please take a long look at this and I like it and both divisions make the location reasonable too!

I agree it is the easiest and would solve the rival games. However, is it the best approach that maximizes SEC Game inventory for TV partners and also maintaining rivals while at the same time giving all the players from each team the opportunity to play against all other 15 teams within 4 years (home and away).

My Pod concept with 3 Permanent opponents (which u can ensure all rival games) with 6 rotating years 1 and 2 and 6 in years 3 and 4 solves all the problems and provides ESPN matchups like Bama vs. OU/Texas/Texas A&M, UGA vs. /OU/Texas. LSU vs UGA/Auburn/Bama, etc.

Obviously I will adjust to a the 2 8 team divisions with 2 or 3 crossovers, but I think it is not the optimal way.

No no let him go off. His response thread about this to me made me feel better than anything else since the news broke.

Now I outright want expansion (and pods).

No. If they don't add anymore or split into 4 divisions, they will continue to add one to the west and one to the east. Likely Texas to the East and Oklahoma to the West. Partially to separate Texas and A&M and Texas and Alabama in case Texas is able to ever get back on its feet now that they can openly pay their players. Plus OU adds more power to the west right away. Also moving Bama and Auburn to the East is just going to make it lob sided and not balance anything.

. So they just take the two teams ranked highest in the CFP rankings? Then non-conference games are the difference in determining the SEC champion.

Yes but in the end all 3 would end up in the playoffs once we expand to 12. If the expansion for 12 were in place last year with the addition of UT and OU the SEC would have had 5 teams in the playoffs. The SECCG will guarantee a spot.

LSU replaces Alabama in the SEC West as the top dog,

This is why LSU fans are so glad about this. They want Alabama off their schedule. Chicken shite mfers
