UGA averages 240 passing yards per game to receivers other than Bowers. We often throw to 11 or 12 other receivers. When Bowers was playing opponents knew where a lot of passes were going but they stall couldn''t defend. Now opponents won't know who to cover and they still won't be able to defend. Carson Beck is very capable regardless of who he throws to.

For as long as Bowers is out the mantra for any loss will be - but our best player was missing.

That is the old fall back response per Alabama and Ohio St fans. "if our players had not of been injured we would have won"

If you are talking about the 2021 season, Alabama proved that Georgia could not beat them with their starting WRs in the game.

Congrats on beating a team that lost four games last season

In fairness, Bama also lost to a four-loss team last season.

What are you talking about?

Ohio State won the first ever CFP with their 3rd string Quarterback

FTR, I have no problem with most Bama fans. I do have a problem with the ones that want to make our win over TCU was nothing. Some act like a blowout victory over Notre Dame was a huge thing while saying our TCU victory was over a team that did not deserve to be there.

Flukes rarely repeat, which bama proved in 2011, and uga proved in 2017 and 2021.

Whatever did you think the narrative was at the time? That uga wasn’t missing a bunch of players? Because that ain’t it

Do UGA fans think that both Bama's receivers being out diminishes their title or something? Injury luck plays a big part in winning at any level. Not sure why it's so hard to admit that Georgia couldn't cover Metchie or Williams and are fortunate that not one but both of those guys ended up being out for the rematch.

Bama won the SECCG against UGA 41-24 with both receivers, what is false?

All injuries change the outlook of games. It’s the exercise of asserting an outcome in the hyperbolic that’s fruitless.

That was game 1. The false part is you assuming game 2 plays out the exact same, but that’s often not how rematches work

UGA had players injured all season long and it didn't hurt us. Championship teams have championship depth. Take something for your chronic vaginosis and admit you got beat by a better team. That's what grown-up fans do.

TCU was a joke. Credit for beating Ohio State by one point but let’s not act like Harrison taking a hit to the head didn’t impact the game.

I can’t speak for Ohio State but when it comes to Alabama all I know is with Metchie and Jamo we all witnessed Bama obliterate Georgia on national television a month before the Natty. That’s reality. This isn’t “woulda shoulda coulda”. We all saw the game unfold with those WRs.

The issue were the slew of injuries UGA had during the SECCG.

We don't talk about them much and didn't then because frankly it doesn't matter. But the Bama fans think UGA's team was the same health wise in both games, and that's not true.

We were starting a walk on at free safety against Bama. He was still second string in the NCG (was in the game during the Pick-6 to wrap things up). The injury situation that had him in the rotation still existed at season's end.

We didn't harp on it after losing the SECCG not because it didn't exist, but because it didn't matter. Injuries are part of the game. But this line of reasoning shows you haven't a clue about what UGA was dealing with. We didn't have two starting 3-star WR's leading the way because all we had were 3-star guys. All of our WR corps was injury plagued the entire year. Those 3-star guys just stepped up for UGA.

Bama's 4-star reserves did not step up after Metchie/Williams. Your scenario wasn't unique. The fact you're using it to explain your loss is just excuses to cover poor performance. UGA wasn't injured less, they just had enough depth for you not even to realize they existed.

Says who and based on what? They beat the B1G champion and all but one of their other games. People say they were a joke based on one game and one game only. The game with us.

And if you insist that TCU was a joke, then you must also say that Notre Dame was a joke.

He didn't take a hit to the head. It was to the shoulder, and if you take the time to look at it from the different angles you would also see that. I mean, the call on the field was a hit to the head and it was overturned. The only way to overturn a call made on the field is if there is irrefutable evidence.

But whatever makes you feel better, I guess.

So tell me. How big of an impact did Colt McCoy's injury have?
