The portal actually shows four DBs along with three Dlinemen and two LBs. That's a hell of a lot of players on that side of the ball. Currently hawgs have 15 players in the portal with more to come. One reported to enter the portal is another DB, devin bush.

I don’t get it, didn’t Arkansas have like ten players enter the portal, none of which lsu has landed? I saw we offered a guy from Louisiana that’s in the portal that went to Arkansas. Did we land him?

I totally get that NIL has changed the landscape but recruiting a kid from another team should be banned. It’s one thing to grab a kid from the portal but not on an active roster. Even the NFL has tampering penalties.

I mean, it’s not true though. They have ten players in the portal and lsu offered 1guy like a. Few days later. Probably because he’s from Louisiana and we’re so thin at db that we will offer up to 20 probably

That rumor was false.
Catalon came out and said that was BS. The DB coach is a big part of why he is returning.
The DBs leaving are guys that were buried in the depth chart plus 2 starters.
The starters (both seniors) are being pushed hard by a freshman and sophomore and there was a good chance they would lose there starting position to the young guys next year.
Both starters lost there starting spot to the younger players for some of the games this year.

With Instagram it isn’t even the coach. They contact people they played in all star games with or went to high school with or against.

So I just checked, lsu has offered one guy from Arkansas and he’s from Louisiana and hasn’t chosen us, in other words op is making shite up. Kelly wasn’t even contacting portal players at the time , I don’t think.

The bigger question for Arkansas is why did the entire DB room mutiny and enter the portal? Sounds like some internal problem to me.
LSU isn't the only one. Tennessee, Mizzou, Auburn, Arkansas, Florida, South Carolina, and others when their HC got fired! Also Wasn't Orgeron popular and is from Louisiana? Maybe those decided to go elsewhere after he was fired. Why didn't LSU go after Alabama and Texas A&M players when they took the players from the transfer portal? I just don't get what LSU fans were trying to say that others took some of the best players and then try to take lesser players from those in same conference? Why don't they go after those big names in the portal? I saw many top names went to Nebraska and to other lesser schools. Why couldn't LSU get those better players instead had to get three stars players from lesser teams!
