He was the highest paid S&C coach in the country. Obviously Saban did not think highly of him.

Checking in to say frick Georgia. Good day

Not really no 1. Per capita of players signed. Georgia just added a few 3*s Bama said nope! Quality.. We have the actual no 1. Class if you know anything about math. See if you can figure out what I'm laying out for you. If you 2 $10's and 4 $5's but I have 1 $20 and 2 $5'S who has tbe most individual dollars in their wallet? This is how some of tbe ratings ate skewed and it's
wrong and poorly legitimized.

You’re all forgetting that all of these “wins” are completely offset by the fact you also hired Matt Luke to replace the best OL coach in the nation.

I see what you are saying, but until UGA did take a couple of flyers at the very end the UGA per/player rating was the highest of all teams. They had the room and took the chance. I’m not sure at this point anyone could really say there’s much difference in the top 3 or 4 classes from a quality standpoint.

Not sure this is really a hot take? That ‘best OL coach isn’t the nation’ isn’t coaching o-line anymore, he’s trying to figure out how to keep boosters happy and win a couple of SEC games next fall.
Matt Luke, by all accounts, is a pretty solid o-line coach, regardless of his head coaching performance (if Pittman tanks as a head coach no one is going to say he forgot how to coach the o-line, right?). He was up for the Boyle’s award as recently as 2016.

You must have been sleeping the last 2 times Georgia played LSU because with or without Burrow we are still the superior team and will kick the shite out of y’all a 3rd straight time.

The media is making a big deal of it. I personally don't get it. Perhaps he will be a good on-field coach and he may not be. Maybe he is a great recruiter, that seems to be a prerequisite to be on Kirby's staff these days.

Saban was willing to give Cochran a massive raise to remain at Alabama in early-2016, but no longer. He sees what many Alabama fans have begun to notice - we aren't out-physicaling teams at the line of scrimmage anymore. This trend started in 2017 and has gotten progressively worse.
Cochran has been slipping. Combine the above with the fact that our players have been getting nicked up more and more with injury over the last three seasons and it has become readily apparent that Cochran just isn't the same coach he was 4-5 years ago.
That's probably why Saban laughed in his face when he came into Saban's office asking for a promotion.
This makes absolutely zero sense.
First of all, if Cochran's performance has really declined this much, Saban would have either (a) jumped at the chance to move Cochran out of the weight room and onto the field, where as ST coordinator, he couldn't possibly do worse than others we've had under Saban and would also have had Cochran on the road as a recruiter, an area where he would likely excel, or (b) just fired his arse.

think the Cochran hire is as much about recruiting as anything. Despite his deficiencies as an offensive coordinator Coley was a pretty strong recruiter and Cochran is there to fill that gap.
So it is about recruiting. You would think that since the West seems to spank UGA every year, they would want someone to direct the talent they have as opposed to to crapping their shorts when it counts.

The more UGA tries to emulate Bama, the worse they get beat down by LSU. I don't understand the strategy here.
