Beat Florida and watch this thread melt into oblivion. Fisher has some big athletic dudes on that team. Young on the back end and Alabama exposed them. Otherwise, they were pretty stout and will be more than a handful for Mullen's bunch. Jimbo needs to beat some folks in year 3. But in year 3, who doesn't?
But he has 1 win against a decent team and that was a 7 OT, bullshite fluke of a game. Last year is what his teams are and always will be.

I never thought Jimbo & Herman would both struggle like they have. Will be interesting to see how both teams respond this weekend.

Exactly. This was the year everyone pointed to be A&M's time to make a move. Alabama will be every bit as good in '21, maybe better. LSU will be loaded. Nix will be a Jr. Everyone else in the West has reason for optimism.

Fisher seems to be crootin at a much higher level than Sumlin. Problem is he's checked out mentally so he can't instill any kind of discipline in them. They should let him stay for another another cycle than hire someone who can cash in on the talent he's left

Hardly a “free” pass at 7.5 million. But yeah he and Mond aren’t getting it done.

Facts are jimbos had 3 years to either coach him up or find a replacement and he could do neither so at the end of the day he’s not getting it done as the head coach because the failure of the program is ultimately placed at his feet. And before anyone says anything about it just being one game, when your being paid the money jimbo is championships are the only expectation. Especially considering they no longer play Texas so he doesn’t even have rivalry success to bail him out like someone like gus does
Who has him starting and has coached him for most of his career

As a Marine, I take offense to your statement (sarcasm). Now go back to class and write CORE one hundred times on the chalkboard.

they were expected to lose to Bama. Probably expected to lose to Florida. Should beat everyone else, including LSU. 8-2 should be the benchmark for success, anything else is terrible.

Fish gets a pass for 2 equally important reasons:
1) Don't want to give LSU the satisfaction by admitting Jimbo was fool's gold.
2)Fans know that, considering what Fisher is being paid and the length, they are stuck with Jimbo.
All the complaining in the world won't change that. They have Jimbo, barring a miraculous example of CJF breaching the contract, for AT LEAST 4 more years. At around year 7, the buyout becomes a tenable fiscal expense iirc. TAMU can afford to buy him out now, but they would not be able to justify the expense to the board, all things considered.
They criticize Mond, because they know a change CAN be made there. Fisher is a fixture

If Mond is allowed to return in 2021, Bjork will no longer be able to use COVID-19 as an excuse as to why donations are way down like he's doing now. Several of the big donors, including Tony Buzbee who publicly stated as such, cut their donations this season because of what Mond did this past summer. Those donors have long memories and will see Mond being given another chance as being "rewarded for bad behavior". The stupid bitch that is pulling Mond's strings has already attempted to dox many of them because they pulled their donations.
At that point, buying out Fisher would cost less than the resulting loss of donations and revenue from empty seats.

What did Mond do this summer

He was the public face of the movement demanding removal of a statue honoring an individual who saved the school 20 years into its existence and introduced the vast majority of school traditions.
One particular protest, he was standing by grinning like an idiot as one of his teammates was threatening to slit the throat of an individual that was there to keep a violent mob from defacing and possibly tearing down the statue.
He's also publicly demanded that the Corps of Cadets be defunded. (Even though he's too stupid to know that the Corps of Cadets Association is a 501c3 that operates entirely off of donations)

Probably so but in his press appearances he seems to be cruising along with the plan whatever it is.

Plan to milk yall as long as you allow it. On the plus side for y'all, he's still recruiting great so he'll leave a stocked cupboard for whoever replaces him

You're optimistic relative to recruiting but every year there are those "transfer protocol" things and the recent opt out developments. Recruiting ain't the be all/end all it used to be.
