Point being Kirby’s background is in business, he’s constantly selling a product and angling for a better deal be it recruiting, scheduling, or negotiating a bigger deal out of Jacksonville. But hey if your engineering degree helps you open literal doors then at least the education was worth it in some sense

As if we needed another reason to hate that prick

Kirby loses 1 recruiting weekend every other year.
He gains loyalty in S GA and N FL to the brand every year for hundreds of thousands of families (who keep up the tradition of Friday night lights and new recruits coming down the track).
It helps recruiting more than it hurts it.

I get that the game gives a "presence" down in Jax but I really don't think it makes a difference to kids outside of Jax. I honestly don't think Kirby is negotiating or bluffing.Recruiting is obviously priority one with him.
How many times the last 25 years would the game have been a "Game of the Week" type status if not for the "Largest Cocktail Party in the World" background ? Take that element out and it is just another SEC Game.

It was his point not mine and I think a values every single on of them.

"Hundreds of thousands" please.
The real prize in Florida is in S. Florida (Tampa to Miami) Don't think it makes much of a difference to those kids.
Just can't help yourself can you?

I think it helps having the game on national TV...Jax not so much.

Not really.
In the last 10 years, there are 3 games with both top 10.
Going back a 25 years, there are 12 games with both ranked.
And for game of the week status,22 times over the last 25 years, at least one team was a top 10 opponent (game of the week needs 1 marquee).

Merlin's said the exact same thing.
It's either about $$ or recruiting...one can be fixed, the other can't.

I think he values every one as well. I acknowledged that something is given up.

Georgia is the biggest state East of the Mississippi. Border schools are high caliber (FSU,Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, Clemson, South Carolina are all under 100 miles to the border).
Securing our borders is a huge priority for the Bulldawgs. I promise you that.
The game against Florida has no impact on Tampa or Miami. Home or neutral doesn't matter there. But it is a big deal to Savannah, Tallahassee, Jacksonville, and Macon.

How many other home and homes get a guaranteed 3pm time slot on Saturday every year?
I'll hang up and listen.

SEC has a game every week between ranked teams. My point is that UGA needs this game a lot more than UF over the last 38 years. It is the same with the UT-OU game , the event was much bigger than the teams and the game.

I think Auburn's watches have all stopped.
We've played the game 98 times.
You could pick 5, 10, 25 years for simplicity sake.
But enough about what Georgia needs. Please share with me what Auburn needs.
Interim head coach on standby?
Playcaller?
Offensive line coach who has heard what high schools are?

Technically they both can be fixed unless the NCAA passed a rule prohibiting it. The SEC did away with the rule in like 2012. My understanding is there is no recruiting due to an agreement between the schools. That can be fixed and have Jax pay for the food and areas to host recruits and their families.

SIAP
If SEC goes to 9 games then Jville is done because we'd lose a home game every year.
That's what the teeter totter is about.

The issue is using an official visit and not having the recruit/family see the campus and facilities.
The solution was easy... no official visits at the WLOCP. Have the official any weekend but halloween.

Not many games are worthy of one. Uga Florida is and it’s not because of Jax.

I use 38 years because it shows that during the dry spell UGA needED this game and actually needed it played in Jacksonville for any relevancy.

In the past 38 years, UGA has 7 conference championships.
Auburn has 7 as well.
You need a dictionary. Auburn forgot what relevancy meant a long time ago.
