don't like it, S GA alums will be very vocal on this

and thread title is misleading, article does not say he wants to move the game, just that nothing is off the table...

You got your title out of this quote?!?!
I'd be all for Savannah building a stadium and the game being rotated. But then Gaders would whine like bitches because the game wasn't in their state.

This is either a negotiation tactic or they really want to move it. In the end it’s all about the money. Jacksonville gives each school $250 thousand and splits the gate. No offense but other SEC schools make more in neutral site games in Atlanta and Arlington. Either Jacksonville is going to have to fork over more money or this will become a home and home, Momey rules all!

Why not just do a 3 year rotation

Haven't clicked on the link but this is actually an interesting discussion which I haven't seen brought up much around here. What would UGA fans think about this? I hate how all the unique SEC traditions tend to die off, but if I'm UGA I'm thinking I might like to see this happen. Does anyone really look forward to visiting JAX?

Smart is a huge puss and UGA is poor.
That being said, Jacksonville won't give up this game.

Kirby is acting as de facto AD lately and this is 100% him using his business degree, forcing Jacksonville to pay up.
Kirby is from South Georgia; he knows what this game means and he’s not going to move it anywhere unless the money says so

This. Both teams make more from the game neutral than they would home/home... Doesn't mean you can't press Jax for a bigger paycheck

99% that live south of Macon will be against it and be very vocal about it

many Dawgs plan around this game
there will be major pushback
great point was made about the cash, JAX will have to pony up to keep the game

It's not really Jacksonville's choice.

Thanks for the response. And I certainly get the above. I did the St Simons thing for that Bama/FSU JAX game a while back.

Only people who go straight to Jax are the RV folk. Everyone else spends game day in Jax but spends the rest of the week leading up at Jacksonville Beach, Fernandina, St Augustine, St Simons, Jekyll, Amelia, etc.
Any fan on either side who actively opposes this game being in Jacksonville has either never been or has never done it right. I’m 5-5 all time on trips down there and can attest that there is no more fun game in football to win and no more painful to lose. Anyone who wants it played in Atlanta doesn’t get it.

Jacksonville will always have first right of refusal and for damn near a hundred years they’ve always fallen over themselves to pay to keep the game in Jacksonville
Put it this way: both UGA and Florida make more money off this game every year than they ever would playing it on their own campus every other year. When that ceases to be the case the game will move but until then Jacksonville will pay up and the WLOCP will live on

Wasn’t Dan Mullen also on record saying positives about moving it?

And the 4th year be played in Connecticut, if they really want to be known as the world's largest fruit cocktail party. Connecticut is big on apple production.....

I have done it “right” and I would prefer home and home .
