Well at the end of the year Dak will be ahead of Peyton. Does that mean Dak is better? Let's use common sense here.
Peyton Manning 1994-1997 11,020 - 101 td
Dak Prescott 2012-Present 10,285 -100 td
Both are great. Both have full control of the offense. Dak can pass manning in both total yards and touchdowns by the end of the year.
If I was in a business and the object was to sell things and another business sold more of the same items and made more money than I did. Then you have to say that that other business is better at what we do than we are.
Thats common sense to me. Can you accept that principle?

Does not translate to sports. At all.

Presenting a post that attempts to rationalize how Dak is better than Peyton is not in your best interest.

You totally win this argument.
Good job. This is great material, really.

Prescott likely ends up 3rd on this list by the end of the year.
Getting the shits against Troy is going to end up costing him 2nd all time in the SEC.

Meh, he isn't nearly as far off as most are acting.
Currently, Dak's career Passer Efficiency Rating is 145.28, good enough for 12th in the SEC since 1956. Peyton is 10th with a 147.11.
Dak has also done it with a mediocre supporting cast and in the toughest stretch of the SEC West ever. The SEC E wasn't nearly as talented when Peyton was there and Tennessee was a much better team comparatively speaking.
I don't believe anyone will argue that Dak is a better passer than Peyton, nor is he a better prospect, but to say he has had a better career at the QB position is a defensible position.

As College Football QBs goes, yes I'd say so.

Ehhhh.....
This is a very slippery slope when comparing careers. By this measure, Case Keenum is the best QB to ever play college football.

I'm not arguing one way or the other, just pointing out that they're close at the very least.
Also, I discussed the quality of the competition in my post, which should be considered.
Lastly, people significantly overvalue Peyton due to his NFL success. That is not to say that he didn't have an elite college career, but it makes these type of discussions nearly impossible.
