How many of you have become alcoholics?

Which of you have taking up a dumb hobby like planting a flower garden.

(Optional) What the hell ARE you doing while in this great depression of not having sports to look forward to?

It only counts if you specify what kind.

Exercising more.

Hanging out with family more.

Alcohol consumption about the same. I’m essential.

I have a 5-acre lake on our land that keeps flooding. We are trying to build a dam, but it is a serious dilemma due to the rain.

Mother Nature is a cruel Bitch.

That part of the land is slowly becoming a Swamp.

Any of you "Delta-Baws" that can offer advice?

Probably drinking more than normal but not like an everyday thing. As far as hobbies, cooking a lot more. Trying out new recipes.

Damn, I’m actually looking for 4-5 acres but somewhere near me.

I have remodeled 3 rooms so far. My company told us we would not be back on site until June 1st at the earliest, as they are overcompensating by extending Louisiana’s current projected restrictions

Same. In-laws have been here every weekend. Running a test kitchen every weekend. Good fam time.

Probably dust off the fly rods next weekend.

Dropped about 30lbs (diet and exercise). I plant a garden every year, so no change on that. I'm a remote software developer for a large bank, so it's been business as usual for me, except I'm putting in more hours. Otherwise, doing lots more around the house on the weekends - never short on the honey do list.

That's awesome. Congrats!

I made the change about 8 years ago and never looked back. Good luck keeping it up.

I got let go before the quarantine even started so I started my own business - quite the timing to try to get a new business up and running!!! So far so good though as I have managed to triple my profits from my previous job. God is watching over me.

Are you trying to build a dam to form a five acre lake or is your current lake overtopping the embankment? Will your lake be a regulated structure? Check with your state Division of Water because you may require a geotechnical exploration and engineered design to build a lake that size. If it is under the size and volume requirements then put in an upstream diversion ditch to carry the flow around where you are trying to build the dam or put in a coffer dam and pump around. I don't know your topography but those are common items to do. The diversion ditch can be block or diverted back to the main body of the lake after the dam is built and the cofferdam can be breached.

Thanks. Just diet and exercise twice a day. I'm 6'4". When I graduated highschool I was 230 (albeit, I played football and baseball). Now that I'm in my mid 40's, I figured I needed to get into shape. Weighed in at 209lbs this morning. Only crappy thing is none of my clothes fit any longer. LOL

Drugs, cigarettes, Jack Daniels and knocking holes in the walls. But then again, I did that before the virus.
