I care. It's been exciting with conference play in full swing. MS State plays at Oxford against OM, so I'm hoping for a sweep or at least a series win.

Curious that Auburn dropped after going 2-2 against #2 and #3 last week.

Agree - Auburn playing very well. Losing a home series will get you a small ding in the polls. Just the way it is.

A friend is having a wedding in Oxford this weekend. Said hotels are close or at $1000 per night. Big series.

Nobody wanted to play Southern Miss in football until about 10-15 years ago. They had some teams in the 80s and 90s that could go toe to toe with anyone.

As a student, I laughed when Southern Miss beat Alabama in 1990. I stopped laughing when they beat us later that year. They had some QB named Brett Farve who, it turned out, was pretty good.
