I think the biggest worry from the folks that are not happy with Butch is they can easily see him becoming the next Mark Richt. This is by no means terrible, but it isn't what they want either. He doesn't deserve to be fired, but how many more years do you give him and if 8-4 is OK, what about next year? 8-4 OK again or do you demand 9-3? If he keeps on winning one more game a year he will retire as the GOAT.

I see both sides. I think he is a servicable coach who can get a team up to play, but not the best X's and O's guy. Kind of a Frank Beamer type only he recruits a little better.

He's great at recruiting and decent at player development. He has coached good games before (including the last 2) but he usually is a poor gameday decision maker, with the UF game being the worst single game display of coaching I've ever seen. Still the improvement is obvious. He has my support for now but he damn well better win out if he wants to keep it.

I would think so a loss to anyone remaining on our schedule will result in losing the good faith he garnered from the UGA/Bama games.

If he lost one more and won the bowl game, it would be fine too, IMO.

8-5 is still another improvement, record wise. And when you factor in how the losses happened, it would be acceptable. Especially when everyone is coming back next year, and most the year after that as well.

I would be more ok with winning out and losing the bowl than losing another reg season game with a bowl win. That would give us a terrible loss. Butch isn't getting fired after this season, but a 7-5 or worse season would result in some heat for next year.

has lost to every team he has played with a pulse except UGA this year.

Not true. He also beat 2013 USCe.

If we take care of business, we will be 8-4 at the end of the regular season. Another improvement on the year before.

It is year 3. The only reason 8-4 is considered an improvement is because Butch has bottomed out the program.

If you can't see improvement over his tenure then you're blind. We are in no position to fire away another coach prematurely.

Should you drink bleach?

I dunno. On the one hand it will disinfect your insides. On the other it will probably kill you.

Basically, you're a miserable failure.

SEC games in 2016:
Fla
Bama
Uga
SoCar
Van
Mizz
A&M
UK

Non Conf:
App State
Va Tech
Tenn Tech
???

10-2 huh? That would be pretty good. The problem is you will be the youngest team in the country for the 4th straight year.

They have the youngest team in CFB.

If you look back you will see that UT under Lyle has had one of the "youngest" teams every year has been there. The guy is a POS used carsalesmen who brings in a shite ton of kids every year, does nothing to develop them and immediately processes a bunch after their freshman year if they don't immediately pan out. When are people going to realize this is what he is doing?

Other OOC opponent is Ohio U. All 12 opponents are decided but the schedule hasn't been formulated yet.

We just have to not lose any games we should definitely win, then beat 3 out of 5 of VT, UF, UGA, Bama, and A&M.

As of now I would guess that we split UF/Bama and that we split UGA/A&M.

Butch is UT's Mike Shula.

Liked Shula, respected him immensely for taking on our dumpster fire when it was raging, but the guy could not make second half adjustments.

Also...Jumbo Package. Gahhhhh!

The difference is Bama fired their Mike Shula. Tennessee seems to be okay with Botch, despite it being extremely clear that he is out of his league.

I think there is some major heat if that is the case.
