They have a disputed 91 championship but a rightful claim to it, they also were the real 1984 natty champs

If private equity gets involved... That may be exactly what we have... in football anyway

First, i am not an expert on private transactions. My simplistic understanding in the PE world is you buy at 5x and build up the revenue and profits then sell for 9x

I dont think PE is suitable for college football. The schools and in most cases the state owns the university and i don't see PE being viable. Perhaps for non state funded private schools like ND or Baylor it might work .

Long term, networks arent paying for Baylor vs Tulsa. They dont want Miss St vs Vandy either.

At some point, greed will prevail. The Big Ten and SEC will go away and remanants will form a new 32 team super conference.

Here is my super conference. Remember, it’s the off season and im bored so here goes.

South Div LSU, ALABAMA, AUBURN, OLE MISS
South Central Div. TENN, CLEMSON, GEORGIA, SOUTH CAROLINA
Southeast East Div FLORIDA, MIAMI, FSU, UNC
East Div. VA TECH, VIRGINIA, MARYLAND, BOSTON COLLEGE
Southwest Div. TEXAS, A&M, OU, ARKANSAS
Midwest Div. MISSOURI, NEBRASKA, COLORADO, IOWA
North Div. Ohio St, Michigan, PENN ST, ND
West Div USC, WASHINGTON, OREGON, ARIZONA St.

None of this will get fixed until larger schools have to cancel something besides Olympic sports. Once a large university cancels baseball or girls softball then people will finally wake up and make the necessary changes. Honestly if they removed the 21 age limit or rather three years removed from high school and allowed the players to enter the draft and came up with a reasonable amount that all universities could afford to pay I’d be great with that. Yes CFB would lose a lot of talent BUT you’d be left with kids who lived the universities and stuck around for more than a year long contract.

A shared title in 1990 makes them one of the current 60 best programs?

Colorado is 45th all time amongst d1 schools in win percentage, maybe you should brush up ball a lil

LOL. In the past 26 seasons, they have a .373 winning percentage.

Name the programs better champ, I’ll even spot you some bc it seems you don’t know much about ball. I’ll give you everyone in the sec except vandy usce miss st. I’ll give you everyone in the big ten save Rutgers Purdue and northwestern. I’ll give you Clemson Miami fsu gt byu notre dame Arizona state Utah. Go ahead give me 24 teams better, I’ll wait. Don’t think you can tho bc you seem ill equipped to discuss the history of college football.

LOL. I was attending UGA football games in the 70s.

I watched Colorado's half-national championship game, hoping they'd win due to GT being in the championship picture.

You're not worth further discussion.

sorry vandy Rutgers northwestern and Purdue

I know they don't support athletics much ATM but all of these schools have excellent academics & plenty of loaded alumni. Purdue & Vandy especially are one good coach away from being formidable. Vandy will be very interesting this year now that abuelo Pavia is gone

Colorado? Really? How do they qualify to be in any super league?

I realize I'm responding to my own question and doing so with another question, but if Colorado is such a prize, why didn't the B1G want it when they started taking other PAC teams?
