Saban was right to hang it up when he did. IDK how you implement discipline in this environment, especially when kids can walk to another team, get more NIL money, and have immediate eligibility.

And that's the problem.

feel like this is another product of NIL -- suddenly you have 17-22 year olds with hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions in the bank, and they think they can do and say what they want. It’s why I’m glad UGA won before this stuff took off

If I’m a bama fan that kind of behavior is more concerning than the game. You laid an egg, it happens. But that behavior is contagious and shows a lack of respect for DeBoer.

Saban would have ridden his arse up and down the field if he even thought about having that kind of meltdown.

DeBoer needs to send a message to the rest of the team that this kind of behavior will not be tolerated. You should win with class and lose with class. Nobody likes losing but he looked like a kid throwing a tantrum.

Saban really let the character of the players slip. He even talked about the mindset of players and guys throwing helmets after the Michigan game as part of the reason he hung it up. DeBoer clearly didn’t clean it up, and may even be letting it get worse. He needs to get control of this team, and that usually comes with painful decisions that lead to bad losses. Since we already took one of those, we might as well get some discipline back while losing to SEC bottom feeders.

I guess I’m just getting old but the diva disease is running rampant in college athletics. These guys are getting paid now and it is only going to get worse. Start sitting these guys and when people’s NIL money starts going to waste it will hit the bottom line.

I have never had an NFL team in my life but I have started to watch NFL because if I am going to watch a sport where the players get paid I might as well watch the pro level. Amateurism in college sports is dead.

It will not change until these NIL guys start affecting the investors. Bench him.

Fined and suspended.

These guys want to be paid like a pro, fine and suspend like a pro.

No doubt. And it didn’t just start this season. I think Alabama’s biggest problem the last few years’s is lack of personal accountability and team leadership.

Malachi Moore is a grad player who has been in the program for 5 years. He is a team captain. If anyone should know how to act it is him. If anyone should be leading by example it is him.

I don’t know the answer on how to fix it. If you come down hard on players now days, they will just transfer.

What we’re witnessing real time, is the differences in 2 Coaches and their expectations of their football team. SABAN would never have tolerated this. They still have the 5 star talent WITHOUT the discipline.

All I'm thinking the entire time, as I was fixated on his behavior:

Saban would've pulled him immediately and had his arse riding pine for two weeks.

CFB now has 18-22 year old millionaires that haven't matured yet. It's only going to get worse. It's already turned into mercenary ball with the portal and transfer rules.

Portnoy of Barstool Sports is openly offering to buy a QB for Michigan. CFB as we knew it is dead. I'm waiting for the day when players have advertisements on their uni's from their NIL sponsors.

Why are y’all acting surprised or like this is something new?

This has been going on for a long long time.

Anytime bama faces a team and get kicked in the mouth they start acting like the thugs they are

Learning how to lose is just as important as learning how to win. It happens. Hes a piss pour cry baby. Bout as bad as that player for Bama a few years ago that attacked his own coach on the sidelines.
